I thought it might be fun to explain some rules for how to continue living in active addiction without being caught and surviving. I think having narcan is a great rule of thumb. But the #1 rule in my opinion is ALWAYS LOCK THE DOOR!!! I can't tell you how many times if I didn't lock the door I would have been caught by non users. Even times when I thought I was alone in my own house I still keep this rule and it has led to a 10 year everyday use never getting caught. At the same time thus is kind of sad as I probably should get off of it .... but you know! What are your rules to NOT GETTING CAUGHT?

discretion, not getting so fucked up that everyone else knows, always keep a base buzz so appearing "high" is written off to be your natural state,
a time and place dor all things. this is my main focus and tends to work most times.
2) Don't bring people into your circle who use. Stay solo in your addiction....
i like this very much. and practice it whenever i get a hankering almost always alone and unbothered. at peace if you will and can enjoy. ;)

This probably deserves a thread of it's own but if driving:

Nvm I just deleted like 20mins of my time lol.

Just make sure you can eat what you purchased or possibly have like a fast & the furious style setup with Luda on the fucking walkie and police scanners, and probably have a few decoy car drivers behind you with a tailight out here and missing headlight there(they will do it for a fat nug or 2)and your steel Mule all fresh,..but not too fresh. Lol?

I agree with everything you say neversickanymore - unfortunately if you don't hide it you won't be able to get a very good job - unless your independently wealthy and 99.9% of us are not... I am not trying to promote unhealthy behaviors but the reality is that addiction promotes this type of isolation if you want to be "successful" in their game ...

Besides getting caught in the act or by letting stuff lie around it is inevitable that some people will always have a feeling that something is "off" - while others seem to be totally blind to a certain degree. Be aware of who is who and try to adapt (e.g. when talking about certain topics be mindful of how much you could probably know about it as a non-user, say things only people who do not have experienced drug addiction would say - even if in reality you would be offended and hurt by the same statement).

Besides that these come to mind:

1) Be the only one who uses and never hang around other users - at least don't mix up your user circle with your non-user circle
2) Don't do the things that are common for users of specific drugs - study their habits and try to avoid them. DO things that other people if it's the normal thing to do. Do it the normal way to avoid even the slightest suspicion by most people in the first place. If you are invited to a dinner you eat.
3) If you are too fucked up cancel every time, don't show up wasted
4) make sure you do not get interrupted (lock the door)
5) if you need to use while around people only do it if you do have probable cause to do a certain task that leaves you in a place where you can't get interrupted and don't raise suspicion by taking an unusual amount of time for that task (e.g. going to the toilet to take a piss is not gonna take 10 minutes)
6) Don't over explain and don't overdo it

What I fucking hate is when you get stuff on you and the guy your with thinks its a good idea to drive 90+ mph in their car while you have multiple grams of meth on you. I dont what goes through there head doing that shit even on meth I have more brains than that.
