Ketone in Amphetamines (speed)

Yeah my computer stuffed up and i didnt know if it posted. So are u going to answer the question or just point out the obvious?
 
If as I suspect it is a RC stim like mephedrone or ethcathinone or about twenty others it's probably a powder or small crystals like salt. The alternate explanation is that it could refer to reductive amination (sic) of P2P (methyl benzyl ketone) which would yield either amphetamine or meth depending on the amine used in the synth. Where are you getting that phrase from in the first place? Context would be helpful to determine what they mean.

Don't worry about wasting my time, shit I come on here to waste time. Just ask my boss. ;)
 
OK thanks. A guy told me he can get speed that is "pure ketone uncut shit".
I was also told that when it comes in like a crystal salt form, you shouldnt snort it? I had some the other week that was crystal, salt like and pinkish in colour and told its not a good idea to snort and another mate said he would snort it. ???
 
Both crystals and powder can be snorted. Just crush it up fine. By speed do you mean methamp or amp? Here in the US it usually means meth, UK amp. But since u r n Australia I'm not sure which is more likely. Meth is often seen as crystals, amp less so.
 
I don't know if this is some retarded type of slang or what, but amphetamine is by no means a ketone; it's an amine as its name indicates. If he actually means what he says, then the compound is most likely methcathinone, which has less euphoria than amphetamine.
 
Ok well i dont really know what it is. all i know is that he said its speed and its "pure ketone uncut shit" and i had know idea what ketone was so i thought i would do a little research. Just lookin to have a good time this weekend lol
 
I've heard it heaps. If anything it just means it's a different method of cooking it. It's all the same shit in the end.

Not really, there are two isomers of amphetamine. One is good the other crap. One method of making it give only the good d isomer. the one from methyl benzyl ketone yields racemic amphetamine, a 50/50 mix of the two. This is also true of meth, which could be part of the answer to your question in the other thread about why some of the meth you're getting feels different.
