Will saturating Ketamine hcl (not liquid solution) and cooking in it in order to get a dryer product result in any loss of potency?

what high temps can ketamine withstand without damage?

the goal here is to have a less clumpy end product while maintaining potency

Not quite sure what you mean by this.

It melts at 266 degrees centigrade as the hydrochloride salt.

Well, the reference I read didn't state the decomposition temperature. Since it didn't mention it but did mention the MP of ketamine, i'd say anything up to that value (~260 degrees) would be okay.

Just boil the water off - that's 100 degrees centigrade. Well within the "OK" range.

And no, without decomposition or isomerization (which to my knowledge does not occur during "cooking") then no change in potency will occur.

I'm not sure about the atmospheric stabillity of Ketamine in regards to degradation of any kind for sure, but I can see no structural features in the Ketamine molecule that would leave it open to this sort of degradation. It's pretty stable stuff, IIRC.

Decant Ketamine vial contents onto a rectangular shaped Pyrex casserole dish. Let stand until evaporation is complete. Scrape up crystals with razor blade. Yield is approximately 1.2g per Ketaset vial (10mg/mL).

You should get very little or no potency loss at all, depending how you cook it. Also, don't use too much water as Ketamine is quite soluble in water and will take ages to evapourate if the concentration is low.

^ Thankyou... due to trials, I have gleamed the info that ketamine can be
re-saturated & re-cooked multiple times in order to manipulate appearence and texture, with no potency loss.. in fact, better texture has lead to better absorbtion which equaled better product.....

however a slight loss in final weight was observed.... i think it was about 30 miligrams on the gram that was lost....hmmm

place K on plate over simmering pan allow steam to heat bottom of plate move with blade as drying.

K will loose potency over time once cooked! its best to cook up 20mls at a time = 1 g though be aware if you get through more than a g (with tolerance it can take several g's for a nights session) cooking afterwards can be risky!

thats difficult to say, much would depend on storage, in a swaety pocket a lot less than a dry space. I know from experience that K is less potent after even a week and we always used to use on the night- but mabye we were greedy

i want to know if it will retain potency a month from now if need be.

From experience ketamine HCL (liquid) is much more potent hot off the plate or pyrex for some of you.
