Without a scale; crush as finely as you humanly can and do a matchhead sized bump. Wait 20-30 mins. Reassess. Do another. Still getting nowhere? Try two match head bumps, Rinse repeat. Pain in the ass I know and it might take you a whole afternoon but you only have to do it once and then you'll have some idea of how much does what with your bag. 2g should be plenty enough for many good times without a tolerance so even if you waste a little so what. Also the first bump always takes much longer than the rest to kick in, but once you're up the beanstalk the rest will kick in pretty damn fast. Yes it's a little over-cautious and you're prob gonna need a lot more than you initially tried but that's what it's all about. Take pride in the fact you did it properly and as safe as you could, it's not a bad high in and of itself.
It's a really different experience depending on what you're doing, If you put good music on you might wanna dance and move around and can almost feel a bit like you're perfectly tipsy+high or on mdma-lite. Was ultra euphoric for me in the early days.
If you lie on the bed (sleepmask and music encouraged) and think about why somethings bothering you so much you might find you're suddenly able to understand things from a different perspective or realise things about your life/friends that you never would have realised otherwise.
This can range from thinking you are Jesus reborn sent here to mend the earth all the way to "Damn, maybe that job/relationship/whatever didn't work out because I was unintentionally doing x/y/z". Use your judgement.
Hot tip: if you're experiencing cross-eyes/double vision and you urgently need your vision, closing one eye will do the trick. If you're trying to enjoy some screen time and it's just annoying you, closing one eye for awhile then the other will sometimes also fix it.
WARNING: It can sort of build up on you, sometimes a top up won't do much and sometimes just a fraction too much too much soon is all it takes to send you to into a really, really extreme experience. Really go low and slow at first and get a feel for it. Keep a timer on your phone and press LAP after each bump so you know how long it's been. And even with that you WILL still lose track. Try to always keep the bumps/lines roughly the same size and small, that way you know "ok 3 bumps an hour is just right". Even if you one day wanna venture deeper keep them the same and just do more. Way too easy to think "yeah that looks about right" when in reality it's actually triple what you think it is, especially when you're under the influence. That one's straight from the horses mouth. Also smaller lines = better absorbed = less wasted ket = win win. Also the longer the session = the more wasted ket too.
Even if you don't do any introspection It really can feel like it resets you and sets you up to be in a fresh good mood with mental clarity for a day or two, but I found only when you stick to a small session and end it on a high note. This goes away eventually esp with overuse.
It's not mentioned a lot online but long before you reach the levels of k-hole where you can't really move, you can have another type of experience where you might feel like you are dying/being reborn, you completely forget where you are/what you have been doing/who you are, even in your own home you won't recognise that it's your home and it can be really, really scary. I'd like to think of myself as a seasoned veteran with the right tools and knowledge but it even got me the first few times.
Ketamine is a criminally under-respected psychedelic, at higher doses I'd rate it up there with the big dogs (dmt, salvia etc) at least in my experience.
Also just something you should know; i'm guessing you're UK based from your username, much of the "ketamine" around the UK and Australia is really just close cousins of ketamine (analogues) that produce similar effects. Even the test kits you can buy locally can't always tell you. This matters because there's a million of them out there and we just don't the effects of all them yet, much of it is suck and it see. We also don't know how the long term effects of these are different to ketamine either and we won't really ever, there's just way too many of them. Also under-reported is the leftover by-products and such that remain in the product even when it is the real thing. There's a bit of speculation they could be even more damaging to your sniffer and other organs than we know.
I've tried pharma ket twice many, many years ago but I just can't remember if the effects where much different from the stuff I was I sniffing during 2023-2024.
But if there's only one thing you take from this post; try to use it to improve it your life. Have your fun too ofc but don't be afraid to do a sesh where you just kick back and think about your life, your personality, your goals or relationships. It really can suddenly make you realise where you're going wrong or what you could do better in a way that's really, really fucking hard to do even with 100 sessions with the best pysch. And write down anything you figure out ASAP in your phone notes, cause you will forget that shit.
This is the only drug I've ever done that has ever had any lasting positive impact on my life (came with negatives too just being real) and I ruined it by using it too often. Don't be like me.
