Hey guys just wondering I know ketamine can be a powerful anti depressant but does it have any positive effect on social anxiety?

I've been using K heavy for about a year now, and I agree about it being an anti-depressant half the time, and I think it helps talk a bit easier but, you won't sound clear and defined like on Mdma. K tends to numb your brain so you don't care what comes out of your mouth, so be sure you talk to people who are also fucked up or you may sound dumb hahah. I mastered the "K talk" with time and trial and error. But YES it gets rid of anxiety, mainly cause you don't notice or care what people have to think or say about you. So go ahead wing it but, on a very low does, I'd say 1-3 mid sized bumps, this is assuming you are new to K. Me I like to take a nice line then go talk, really gets my mind thinkin and my mouth moving!

yeah, i used to be fearful than i lost it from overuse, probably from brain damage, no more fear, and i realized it is ridiculous to be anxious

You guys that have tried it might be able to answer this for me: How long does the social anxiety stay at bay? I mean, do you constantly need a little bit or will doing it a couple of times "cure" you of it? The only reason I ask is I suffer from a bit of that myself (thank god for xanax) and if K ever presents itself to me I'm probably going to give it at least one go. So far it hasn't, so I guess I'm not ready for it yet.

I know K can be rather addictive but I am interested in the long term benefits of it after all the reading I've done about it. As someone that's been using for a year, would you suggest using this drug to someone with a bad case of social anxiety assuming there aren't other mental problems? Are the risks worth the benefits?

At low doses I found it definitely got rid of my anxiety while undergoing the experience. Back when I lived in England, I had no real anxiety except in crowds - but when it came to phone calls, I absolutely loathed them, and was always extremely nervous about talking to anyone on the phone, the awkward silences etc just always made phone calls suck for me. However on low doses of Ketamine I enjoyed several phone calls, and when I say enjoyed I really mean that, my worries were replaced with happiness and I actually began to see why people enjoy calling each other all the time!

Higher doses are a little too inebriating to make use of these effects.

Finally, the afterglow.. I'm not really sure whether the afterglow helped my anxiety or not, since the majority of my "days after" Ketamine were spent relaxing at home with video games and weed.

I would recommend MXE instead. I find it more theraputic for exactly what you just described, plus its literally 3x cheaper than K, and then on top of that fact, the dosage on MXE is smaller than K quite a bit as well too, so you save a rediculous amount of cash. Oh yeah, plus MXE lasts longer too, and is therapeutic throughout the day. Hahaha man I just love that

I'll look into MXE, thanks! :)

Still would like to give K a go sometime, but I think I'll be waiting at least a couple of years. Even if I had a source for it right now, I'd buy some and probably put it away until I felt I was ready for it.

Again, thanks to the replies so far, and sorry to the OP didn't mean to hijack the thread or anything.
