In the last decent while I have come into some right nice K, of the most potent variety (from a chemist if that means anything to you.) Mine comes as (relatively) long crystalline slivers that look like an extruded pentagon or hectagon.

Now, from the first time I did it i realized that K gives me a good bit of nausea, enough to make me spew up some tiny little amounts of wiiierd neon plasma-like vomit, not normal watery/chunky vomit, at a high enough dose...quite gross I know, but I figured it's worth mention =D ...or maybe not....

I've noticed this in a few other people who do K, either mine or their own batch. I came to find that promethazine works as well or better as an anti-nausea and "downer" supplement for Ketamine as it does for opiates [I personally dont get sick of 99% from opiate drugs, but I do like the promethazine booster effect :)]

Me and a few of my buddies always take a 25mg promethazine (more for a heavy dose) about 20-30min before doing K, and it usually eliminates any feeling of nausea you might encounter, assuming you don't have a full stomache... (Don't.)

Ugh having a full stomache on a good dose of K is horrible! Also a couple of times I forgot that I shouldn't eat or just felt like I had to get some food in me, BZZZZT wrong! Weird how barfing on different compounds comes in different gradations of feeling bad or like something is seriously not okay. With K it feels serious to me.

I wonder what the mechanism for ketamine induced nausea is.

I never get nauseas on it, but I often hear others get ill from K. Even when I have taken anaesthetic doses, I still don't get ill upon re-emergence.

However, R-ketamine caused significantly more stomach discomfort than racemic or S-ket.

Wonder if it has to do with the Sigma-1 receptor? dunno

Apparently Ketamine only interacts with opiate receptors (u - receptors only as I know it) at around K-hole or slightly sub-K-hole dosages, and I can testify that the nausea one can experience around these levels feels very opiate-overdosey too me, very head-swimmy feeling that makes me imagine myself as a bouy....a very, very sick bouy.

Hehe could be the oceanic experience making you seasick... ;)

It seems one must get their "legs" for ketamine. I have noticed that with repeated experiences as well as increasing doses, one can train oneself to perform tasks without both failing and feeling sick, while under the influence of higher doses.
