Ketamine HCL vs HCL Oral Solution

I have already searched the forums for this question and haven't found anything. Is there a difference between Ketamine HCL and Ketamine HCL Oral Solution?

I found it at the end of the book: Ketamine for Depression by Stephen J. Hyde

If there is a difference, does it make the oral solution unusable for intramuscular injection? How & why does it become unusable?

To the best of my knowledge, there is no difference between the liquids. The oral solution is written as such because when a pharmacy distributes it to you they give a 18G drawing syringe and a oral syringe for administration. I would not advise IM with 18G.

I would ask the pharmacy to be sure.
