ketamine for insomnia?

just an idea
it may not be to help him sleep, but to help his body rest while he can't fall asleep

still on the bed waiting to sleep, but it doesn't tire the body as much
and so the results of the insomnia are less harmful

It is Rxed in England, at least, to treat Phantom pain and other types of pain that cannot be fixed conventionally. F&B will probably know more about this than I do.

As for insomnia, I am not sure how it would help, other than what vegan described. I have used it as such in the past - IME when done properly it eventually leads to sleep and waking up feeling refreshed.

for everyone wondering, they just started prescribed ketamine for restless leg syndrome. i have it because iv gone through every sleeping med possible almost. so for severe insomnia... another crazy drug they now prescribe is ghb( not fucking with you at all that was my other option) but thank you for all the feed back

sorry if im not answering eveyryone questions i have not ben on in a few days and there are alot of them. its a liquid not a pill.. my doctor is a pill and chemical specialist maybe a bit crazy though.. all post a picture tomorrow but it says ketamine 100mg/ml oral su. there are many different kinds of ket, all of witch are pretty much the same it has to do with s-()+ and r-, im really not the one to be giving all the details my self cause all i really know is what iv researched in the last few days cause i just got it. i believe after you trip is when it starts making you tired but again i dont really know..

sorry for the many posts but i thought i would add that i had to pic it up at a special hostpital pharmacy that when i asked how long it would take to fill the guy siad "well we have to make it first, i have to compound the chemicals here in our lab"

and yes i know i am a horrible speller so sorry to you who cant stand it

and what is " the grud"

and its not what you have its what you can convince someone into believing...in this case i do have insomnia but remember you can get almost anything if you stick with it.. i started to think after i got all these anxiety pills on top, what proof dose this guy have other than iv ben with him for wile and that i always say the same thing? again in this case i do have insomnia

I can understand GHB(Xyrem) as it's a strong downer(GABA agonist) for sure but the K would b totally different and weaker unless yer using it in combination with another drug, so if u have benzos on top of K then it will intensify their effect greatly. So r u getting a syrup or pills when u say oral susp it sounds like a syrup. I guess if the hospital pharmacy is manufacturing it then it will have no brand name.

op, fyi jic, if you got a tolerance/dependence to the sleep meds, which presumably you have since you have RLS,

taking the G option would be a continuation of what you were doing.. cycling through gaba agonists to more and more potent forms

taking the K option will hopefully allow your RLS and insomnia to rest while you're not taking the GABA's anymore (fyi drinking alcohol will hurt your RLS and insomnia from the rebound from the gaba drugs if you ever drink) and it'll def help with the legs i think. probably also make you more comfortable than you otherwise would after stopping gaba's

send me some will ya 8) that is one cool doc you have, not scared of the DEA busting down his doors. maybe it's different on the west coast or just washington

well it doesnt but it does say that there are oral susps of ketamine that are Rxed and that they are used alone for there sedating effects

I wonder if telling the Doc that yer against taking highly physically addictive drugs (GABA agonists) if that would spring board one's way closer to getting Rxed ketamine for insomnia.
