I thought I might pass this along!
I recently tried ketamine for the first time and had a blast! It was very strange, but not in a bad way.
My drug use history has included a lot of psychedelics, but very few dissociatives. I have done nitrous a couple of times (maybe 3 times) and never PCP.
On the psychedelic side I have done a lot... everything from freebase DMT to chugging pedro juice (yuck!). So when I tried ketamine for the first time a few days ago... I was really surprised!
First I measured out 180 mg of powder I had dried out. I separated this into about 8 lines and did four of them in each nostril... a few minutes later I was tasting the drip... not really as bad as some things I've tasted but not too good either.
I layed down in my bed and turned the lights out.... and gradually my mind was drifting away from my body... I was taken to a very dark place where I could see a lot of very strange things... theses were thoughts in the very back of my mind that you can't normally notice with your conscious mind.
I would imagine an object and my interpretation of it would be very different than normal. At the same time, this interpretation appeared to be truer than what I would call conscious thought.
All the while, I was experiencing very strange sensations of moving up and down and spinning around. At one point I sunk deep into my mattress.... a few minutes later I was expelled by the mattress.
And all of this felt completely 100% real...
There was no buzz with ketamine, only a feeling of dissociation which wasn't pleasant or unpleasant... but very neutral imo. This is in contrast to most psychedelics that have very pronounced "good feeling" buzzes.
The experience seemed to last a very very long time, but only lasted about an hour in "sober" time. During this time I could barely move and just hung out on my bed under some covers.
So I would say that this drug was very unique and unlike anything I've every done before. I plan to do it again in a few months.
