Good evening everyone,
let me say I´m very curious of trying Ketamine but I never done it so far in noticeable quantities.

I have past experiences with LSA, LSD and MDMA (among other substances) and they were the more ´emotional´ drugs I have taken so far.
Sometimes even overwhelming, sometimes panicked a bit, sometimes totally blissful moments.

I´m wondering how Ketamine affects your emotional state, expecially during the K-hole, compared to other substances.
A friend of mine who K-holed many times said to me he was convinced to be dead and then reborn, as well as seeing his all life events till that point but had NO emotional impact like with other psychedelics.
He told me for him it´s like analyzing your life with complete detachment from yourself.

Have you experienced the same?
Is it true that Ketamine is a ´colder´ experience if that means anything to you?
Also, how is it possible to be a potent antidepressant (according to recent studies about the substance) and in the mean time the experience is totally emotionless?

Hope you can enlighten me with your answers.

Cheers,
D.

I wouldn't say that there is no emotion- it's more like it allows you to think about things without having an automatic emotional response. This allows you to think about things that might normally make you uncomfortable and can allow you to think from a different perspective. You can still laugh or be annoyed but getting very angry or sad is less likely than what can happen on traditional psychedelics. The emotions are still there, but you can sort of not let them get in your way.

It's like you are in control of your emotions, rather than your emotions controlling you.

it's like a dissociative cushion, your emotions are still there but you are not impacted by them in the same way you would be sober.

MXE has allowed me to have discussions with people about things that would have made me burst into tears upon mentioning whilst sober, it's a truly amazing substance.
