Ketamine confusion

Okay, so I don't understand why a popular method is evaporating ketamine HCl to get crystals if every other method has 30 (or lower) bio-availability as opposed to IV/IM. Acoording to erowid you only use it IV for it's analgesic property (I don't get that, but okay). Assuming all that is true, do people prefer the non-needle methods because the duration is significantly longer? If so, i still don't see why you wouldn't just keep redosing into your gluteal muscles (butt) or your deltoids (like when you're given a flu shot).

Math sure isn't my strong suit, so maybe my conversion ratios are off as far as not wasting ~70% of the product at each dose. Help?

erowid page I was talkin about: https://erowid.org/chemicals/ketamine/ketamine_dose.shtml

People prefer needleless methods because they are not willing to try this route of administration. It is dangerous if it is not done properly and many people do not have the necessary knowledge to do it successfully, or they are simply afraid or averse.

Some people prefer to waste 70% of the dose on a safer route of administration. I include myself.

I think it's that easy.

DocLad- yes, fucking yes.
Incubud- Many people don't want to start injecting for the sole purpose of being able to use more. Shooting to save product is usually solely a junkie, or extremely addicted persons mind set, not in all cases. I myself would avoid needles even if the dose of something was 20x higher without needles, and if that made it unaffordable I wouldn't partake.
Note: I myself am an addict, but will go without over iv, im or sc, All Day!

As a long-time (3+ years) IM/SC user of prescribed medical substances, I am very averse to injecting anything that doesn't come out of a sterile ampoule. Although I have lots of access to safe IM/SC equipment (far more than I actually need to use my medication... seriously it's almost unlimited), I don't have access to pharmaceutical-grade injectable arylcyclohexylamines. The potential impurity of street drugs, RCs, or even extractions of pharmaceuticals performed outside a sterile lab environment could lead to abscesses and other scary long-term health complications when IM/SC'd. (Read the Case Studies stickied thread over in OD for case reports, most published in peer reviewed journals, of people fucking up their lives longterm by injecting things that were not meant for injection.)

This is a medical grade vial, and I have the experience/equipment, but alas I see y'all's point and won't risk it for the benefit. Just not everyday that a medical grade vial of K comes my way.

It's not actually just a junkie thing. It's a frugality thing. Ketamine can be cheap but it can also be expensive. With proper technique and equipment there's only the possibility of infection. I would never IV ket personally but it's the bee's knees IM. I'm all about the hole and you better believe I'm not about to fuck my nose up doing a ton of K that way because I have a decent tolerance. Some people might like railing 350mgs of ketamine, I do not. I personally really don't like snorting things. Not so much true with ketamine but it also for a lot if arylcyclohexamines is way more stimulating and harder to hole. Some people were obsessed with insufflating MXE. IMO it was a really inferior high. Oral, sublingal, rectal, and especially IM were the shit. It's purported part of the AD partially comes from the rapidity of the arylcyclohexamines entering the brain so quickly. Probably possibly bypassing first pass metabolism as swell!

I agree with Doclad, ketamine is a drug that is either a hit or miss on the abusive scale. I know people that use everyday and I know some that use once every few months. MOST will obviously go for snorting because who would want to inject if you don?t have to!? No matter what it doesn?t last long but IV injection will always be the go to way if you don?t have a fear of doing it. At the same time tho it?s overwhelming for most people
