Ketamine Bladder

hello, this past weekend SWIM went through about 3.5g of ketamine, as of the past 2-3 days SWIM has been experiencing a burning sensation in the pelvic area. SWIM read through posts on here about ketamine bladder and is very nervous. Besides the 3.5g SWIM did over this past weekend, he did about the same amount 2 weekends prior. Besides that SWIM has used it occasionally on weekends as a party drug, typically not over 1g in a night. Because SWIM hasnt had years of habit it would seem weird to have done any bladder damage already. SWIM has completely stopped use, and is wondering what to do if this burning sensation does not go away. SWIM was at doctor yesterday for a checkup follow up, bloodwork was cool no STDs or any shit like that. please let me know your thoughts so I can tell SWIM what he should do, he doesnt want to be stuck with this burning. it seems to relieve burning a bit when SWIM emptys bladder. SWIM hasnt been peeing to much more than normal either, that seems okay. what should SWIM do :?

welcome to bluelight, we dont use swim here we know your talking about yourself and its just an eye sore haha. but anyway is there blood in your urine or just a "burning sensation in your bladder"? i can tell you that people abuse ketamine much more than you and dont have bladder issues. i cant tell you whats wrong with you because im not a doctor, but if i had to guess you are either having an adverse reaction to ketamine or its something entirely else. asking bluelight does not count as a formal diagnosis and if your problem persists you should most definitely see a doctor.

ah well no blood in urine, just the burning, im thinking maybe it just irritated it, im hoping it goes away on its own. if not i'll head to the doctor

EDIT: honestly just some of these articles about irreparable damage really scared the shit out of me

EDIT 2: would be nice to hear from someone whos dealt with this i know theres some peeps on here who have.

It's probably just a bladder infection, cysts and extreme scarring of the inside wall of the bladder is definitely something chronic heavy users should expect sooner or later, but it doesn't sound like you are a heavy chronic use, more like an occasional user with special occasions where heavy amounts are used.

Well, there are people who use a gram a day everyday, or even significantly more... then you are just counting the days until you need to get your bladder removed. But if you are an occasional user, the risk is indeed present but the less you take the lower the risk is.

Also keep an eye out for K-pains. Spastic gall-bladders can be very painful, trust me... and a good sign that you have to slow down.

3.5 grams in a session is definitely on the high side and I would cut back on that. Right now you may just be running higher risk of getting bladder infections more often. Id est: not extremely serious yet and manageable, but all indications that you'd better be careful and accept that these shitty things can happen. If you cannot accept that, cut back on your quantities and see if your bladder starts to have less of a messed up load / pronounced feeling it's there.

And indeed I'm only trying to give pointers, we do not know and can not know what is actually going on with you. Give it a little time, drink cranberry juice, and if your ailments are persistent you can just go to the GP with it.

your low usage makes me think this is unrelated to ketamine.
If you havnt been getting ketamine induced stomach cramps I think your still a ways away with having any bladder problems. I'd honestly just check with your doctor if it doesnt go away in awhile.

Basically your best advice would be what Solipsis said.

You dont want K-cramps. Use responsible

thanks guys that really eased my mind, yea ive never had a k-cramp before and if those typically come first looks like im on the safe side. needless to say im gonna give it a least a month or 2 before i even debate doing it again. and if i do its goin to be in much more moderation this has given me quite a scare.

For future usage, always drink a lot of fluids (or water at least) whilst using K.

I was on a 3 month binge of abusing not too long ago, near the end of it very time I'd piss it burned like crazy! The pain goes away just stop using... It could also depend on the batch of K, I got horrible cramps sometimes even the first time I ever tried it.

I do occasionally relapse (I'm not perfect) but life's better without it my friend.

I've had K-pains twice before but I've only ever had urinary tract pain once. I hardly did any, maybe a gram, and it felt like i was pissing razor blades. Not to mention the intense itchiness/burning, but it all went away in a couple days.

And if you get K-pains you'll know it cause you wont be able to function.

the answer is pretty obvious, but does doing ketamine hold the pain at bay or exacerbate it? short term I'm talking.
