Ketamine and sinusitis

Does anyone else have this problem?

It seems that most of the time I do K, I'll get a sinus infection in the following few days. I'm not doing that much, I mean, I haven't even done a full .5 in a night.

Could it be that k just isn't my drug, or is there a way to get around this?

K definately rocks my sinuses for a few days. Are you sure it's actually a full blown infection? Those are usually bacterial in nature and need to be treated with antibiotics. If this is the case, it may be an issue of hygiene. Make sure that the surface and the apparatus you use to insufflate is clean. I always use a clean plate and a fresh straw.

I use my keys or a pen cap.

I had persistent non-bacterial sinusitis when i was young,
but this is definitely bacterial.

This last time it moved to my throat when I ignored it and still went out

Well, you are putting foreign contaminants in your sinus passages. Is this the only drug that bothers you?

I've never put anything else up my nose.

It's probably your sinus' way of telling you that it doesn't like what you're putting up there. I'm not trying to preach what so ever, as I had the same problem years ago.

Have you tried using a netipot or some sort of sinus cleansing afterward?

Wow I've never had this problem and I've snorted multiple grams of ketamine in a single day.
Are you sure you're getting pure ketamine?

^ i don't think it really matters on the purity, honestly. some people are just hyper sensitive to debris in the nose.

^True, but what I was getting at is that his k was possibly adulterated with something that was really irritating his sinuses.
You're right though, some people's bodies just dont react positively to having stuff put up their nose.

How often do you use it? I used mine everyday for a few years, and my sinusitis problems disappeared. Have you also considered taking an antihistamine of some sort?

I used to go 3 weeks without, then get a half gram bag that would last a weekend.
I've toned it down a bit (I think).

How will an antihistamine work, though?

If you get a decongestant or an antihistamine with a decongestant, it will get rid of whatever mucus is in your sinuses, similar to if you have a head cold.

sorry if this hijacks the thread, but if you used a nasal spray after you snorted the k, wouldnt that wash it out before it had the time to get absored into your body?

Can anyone give any tips to help clear out your sinus's that doesnt involve getting anti biotics or anything, i dont have a neti pot, its like my nose feels clear and i can breathe through it, but my sinus's are sometimes painful and i feel like theres pressure in there, which im sure it means they are infected or blocked up.

I get it from heroin...really bad upper resp. infections too. Sucks balls as I am always having to go on oral steroids and inhalers and antibiotics, etc.

My netipot is a life saver, however it can spread infection.
