more people probably get HPPD from lsd than shrooms, but you're still gambling whether or not you'll get it with shrooms. everyone is different.

Thanks for the reply man im looking for anyone with it. What gave you hppd? How bad do opiates, shrooms, and stims worsen it?
Believe it or not, Dabs (like weed extract) gave it to me. I was 17 and stoned as fuck in my room staring at the carpet and I had a weird background ringing and my vision became kind of light and blurred (like what happens when you do something serotonergic as it's effects are starting to come on before the euphoria), and I heard a weird ringing. I'm super sensitive to just about any drug besides downers so I'm used to half schitso hallucinations when I smoke too much, but this was weird. I was having close eyed visuals of a dense rainbowy colorful static and as my mind zoomed in, they seemed like overlapping tentacles with a face in the middle of them all telling me, "we are the fiddly thingies, and we are here to stay" And I've had "the fiddley thingies" since then, which I later found out was just visual snow. I have really intense visual snow always, even right now. They're infinitesimally small dots that constantly move. I'm 25 now so I've had them constantly for 8 years give or take. I had that weird hallucination on the weed at the same time in my life that I started trying out new psychedelics and I believe that may have played a role. After I did acid after I started getting my visual snow, I noticed that the tracers wouldn't really leave either. I believe everybody has constant tracers hence how we're able to draw a circle on the wall with a laser pointer, but it seemed as though any motion of color would "stimulate" the visual snow and leave a lasting color in the static. Walls move and such for me too if I stare at one and focus on it. Of the 3 hppd symptoms I mentioned (snow, tracers, moving walls), the visual snow is the most prominent and the moving walls and such is the least. I really have to focus or "try" in order to get the wavy effects while looking at objects.

When I do downers such as percocet or 7 oh, the visual snow gets more intense (more movement, more "dots") and it seems to coincide with things taking a brighter almost fuzzy like appearance. It doesn't affect tracers or waviness though. Smoking weed will make the tracers significantly more apparent and the visual snow much more "dense" but even me just typing about it right now it's getting more dense, or perhaps I'm noticing it more. It's really hard to explain if you don't have visual snow, you can look up images. But it's weird because if I'm looking at an image made up of really small static pixels, I can still tell that it's static, so what's the difference between that and what I see normally? I don't know. It's like there's a smoky grid of dust laying over my eyes. Mushrooms and acid or anything serotonergic will give me INTENSE tracers and waviness but it makes the visual snow go away for the most part though it comes back worse when they wear off. I'm not much of a stim kind of guy but I have dabbled with adderall and cocaine and such. Stims don't really seem to affect it in any noticeable way. The visual snow in rare instances can get annoying, but it's more so me freaking myself out, "dude is my visual cortex just constantly getting bombarded with white noise stimulus?" it's more so me psyching myself out and it's never been a burden. Shrooms seems to have a lasting effect of making the snow less dense up until I smoke weed again and it all comes back.

By the way, even known I first got visual snow in the form of a rainbow like static, It's colorless now. It was only rainbowy when I was stoned at 17 that one time. Now, when I get too anxious when I smoke too much weed or when I am getting too serotonergic on methadone, when it feels like my mind is about to "lose it" I get weird closed eyed visuals of an intense chaotic slew of colors statically breaking, and that's how I know that I need to calm down, that my mind is working too fast and that my anxiety of getting a seizure or something (never had one) only plays into it. I just try not to think of the detail of what my brain is painting and so less "resources" gets spent on it and it goes away quickly. Weed and downers are the only thing that makes it "worse" and keeps it worse even when they wear off. The tracers come and go seemingly at random.

Dude this story sounds almost identical to mine. I started getting it a few months after a very bad time with thc-p (which also gave me CHS and made me quit weed). I have floaters and after images and just recently some visual snow got added into the list. I attributed these things to acid at first and im sure lucy played a role in it but cannabis definitely caused it. My visual snow is very minor at that but still noticeable especially in a dark room. Do you still use any pychedellics to this day? Was your experience with adderall before or after hppd? Sorry with all the questions.
