Ketamin vs MXE vs DMT vs "Skidding out"[K+N2O]

So I just had a few questions of clarification, I'm not sure if this is the right forum - mods move if needed.

So I've experimented with DMT probably about 5 times of "breaking through" and having the world rewritten in colors (kinda like CEVs)

Lately, I've been experimenting with K(ketamine) And I have a good time on this usually coming down off MDMA/LSD. However I don't believe I've ever experienced a true "K-Hole" although I'd imagine I've come quite close. I'm wondering a couple things here
#1 - How does a K-Hole compare to breaking through on DMT is it relatable at all? From what i've heard duration is similar, but what about the experience?
#2- How does K compare to MXE the new RC that seems to be analogous to K.

Those are the main questions I wonder about.

And A final question revolves around an experience I had after a one-night EDM festival I attended. I ended up candy-flipping at the festival, came back to hotel to do some k. and My neighbors had a big tank of Nitrous. I was doing a bit of K and took a big hit of nitrous and for about 1-2 minutes my perception went out of body and it felt like my existence was a ball rolling around on the floor. Also during that time of the big nitrous hit,my perception of time went forward, then time went backwards, and started almost skipping back and forth in the same section of time. I honestly thought I was dead for a good 2 minutes and stuck in a time continuum. The people I was with refereed to this as "skidding out" which Me or my friends had never heard of. I've never had this phenomena repeat even with more exposures to K+Nitrous.
#3a - Has anyone heard/had this "skidding out" phenomena happen to them or someone they know?
#3b - If Yes to #3a, how does "skidding out" compare to K Hole

Sorry for the long post just had these questions for an age and finally got the time to type it out.. please respond if you'd like clarification on any of this.

Hopefully any information will help!

I'm going to partially answer question #1, from the perspective of a Ketamine user who hasn't used DMT. I can't answer #2, and I'll also answer #3a and #3b.

#1: In duration Ketamine lasts a while longer than DMT. Although the entire DMT experience can stretch to about an hour, the breakthrough is usually a few minutes at most. Ketamine on the other hand, when taking a large dose, the entire experience becomes the breakthrough (which is known as the "K hole"), so you can have an hour breakthrough or even longer in some cases with very high doses. Ketamine is a dissociative and DMT is a psychedelic, as such the breakthroughs are very different - but there are still features in common such as ego loss and intense hallucinations.

#3a: You mean an out of body experience along with time dilation? Those are the proper terms for what you experienced and are more helpful than "skidding out", just for future reference. Time dilation is common on both psychedelics and dissociatives - though I find it is much more prominent on dissociatives, so yes that's normal. As for out of body experiences, they tend to happen at higher doses.

#3b: When experiencing a K hole, along with some ego dissolution or loss you almost always leave your body behind. Time dilation is extreme, to the point I've thought several of my K holes were stretching out hundreds or thousands of years, in fact one time even though I knew the "thousands of years" was time dilation from the drug, I still thought I'd tripped for a week or two of real time at least, and possibly died.

Hope this helps :)

Thank you for the term clarification, Out of body experience is definitely the way to describe what I was feeling. I have never heard of the term time dilation. Does that mean time is just getting stretched out? Or can it also mean time is going backwards, forwards and upsidedown? And your reports make me wonder if I am ready for a K-Hole or not, sounds very intense (or epic)

When I was in the state of K+N2O time felt like a broken record, with skipping backwards, forwards and repeating ..

Almost felt like there was a nasty turntabalist scratching and mixing with my mind :D

Well it generally refers to time being stretched out but in my experience, that can make time appear to go in all sorts of directions. Dissociatives are very weird drugs and so a lot of the things you experience can't be easily described in normal terms, the same goes for psychedelics as we all know.

Interestingly your "time jumping back and forward" experiences are something I too have experienced, but only with Cannabis, and only once ever. I have experienced time stopping altogether on an insanely high dose of 4-AcO-DMT though.

If you've experienced DMT I'm pretty sure you're ready for the K hole. Transitioning the other way around would be much more difficult I suspect. Since dissociatives are pretty emotionally numb, and make you feel like nothing matters, it's very difficult to have a bad experience unless you dose in an unsafe place :)

off topic slightly but sorry, how insane are we talking?

and to the OP, I can answer question 2 for you
'how does k compare to mxe''
to be quite honest, in my opinion, the only similarity is there both dissociatives. and end with amine. methoxetamine isnt minty fresh medical lovlines like ket is, im not saying its bad, its jsust completely differnet.
onset, duration, dosage, all majoryly differnt to ket, and the m-hole lacks the whole warm spiritual oneness that a k-hole offers

3a also ive done too much nos in one hit while on a high dose of k and gone into a fit (which is bad) but it was also an amazing enlightening experience. im lucky i didnt spasm out of my chair...were u fitting when u were 'skidding out' ?

To answer your question 75mg. I normally take around 15-20mg for a light experience, or 25-30 for a heavier one. 35mg+ is near guaranteed ego loss and ++++ for me personally. It was a particularly insane experience, I've never written a proper trip report but if people are interested I could, though my memory of it isn't as good as it was.

So that my post isn't completely off-topic, I'd like to add, the best place to experience a K hole in my experience is in the comfort and safety of my own bed. A bottle of water next to me in case I need to drink, and my MP3 player = all set :D

yesterday, i consumed 135mgs DXM, nitrous(tank) , MXE (roughly 100mgs), xanax(1mg), and marijuana (1gram). things got quite messy to say the least. at one point i didn't remember if i was alive or dead, or even what it meant to be alive and breathing? is this really me, starring myself into my own eyes?

leave out the other drugs man. let the special K do its thing (maybe smoke some weed)

I can only answer question 2, and in my experience, MXE and K are similar, but different. At a low dose, MXE is more like an opiate. At roughly a medium dose, they're pretty similar, but in my opinion, it's more similar to (S) ketamine, not the usual racemic ketamine you find. I say this because it feels more like a mental trip, and less sedating. On a high dose, MXE is WAY more confusing than K, and the worst part is that MXE has a very long hangover, anywhere from 2 hours and up depending on your dose. The more you take, the longer your hangover.

I prefer K.

after intranasally taking 500mg of methoxetamine i can only describe as "M-holing" it was like my first k-hole, life and death became a prominent issue during my trip, i felt like i was dying, its impossible to explain, but be carefull, whereas ketamine comes up 10 minutes after siffing, methxetamine takes considerably longer

well the fact that I had a mild heart attack from mxe, kinda makes it easy for us all to know which one I consider superior.

And even before that pretty awful night where I was hospitalized, I have always enjoyed k a lot more. The only reason I ever bothered with mxe is because of the k drought. Thought it would be a good alternative - enjoyed light doses, felt like I'd had some coke or valium. But in higher doses I'd usually become too confused, too disconcerted, and sleep was nearly impossible for a few hours after.

K grew on me...at first, it was doing lines at clubs, at parties. Never enjoyed that as much - can never socialize properly; so many opportunities to get laid have been squandered when someone's racked up a fat line and I've decided to have it, only for me to become a total mess who cannot form a sentence properly. But once I started indulging with very close friends in small groups, or simply on my own. I really began to love the drug. K-holes always seemed to get a bad name amongst people I knew. Which I guess stems from people entering them in a club or somewhere totally inappropriate (reminds me of the time my friend went to an art gallery and got totally fucked. he couldn't climb down a small flight of stairs so his friend helped him down slowly and pretended he was mentally retarded, lol). So once I began holing at home, wrapped up in some blanket, with some post rock playing, I felt there was literally nothing better than entering that hole as a form of meditation and relaxation. Although, I felt like I was getting a little delusional about this recurring theme in my holes that the true meaning of the universe was about to be revealed, and only through k could you ever become enlightened.

Oh and I've never tried DMT, so obviously no comparisons can be made. Must be intense, right?

never heard of skidding out, but getting trapped in space/time sounds like a k-hole or an m-hole... well i can relate tto what you experienced, after large doses of K or MXE... i've done nitrous and love doing it on MDMA, but have never "skidded out", must try lol

I used to do a fair bit of ketamine and i've k-holed about 7 times. The experience is never quite the same however there is always the same unexplainable feeling in each one. You loose knowledge of who or what you are, where you are, why you are there and what is going on. This enables your mind to kind of fill in the blanks, making a journey of thought out of the experience. I can't remember the thoughts i've had during a k holes, like dreams you only remember them for a period of time after they've happened. Some stand out though. The thoughts i remember are mainly about life and death, where i am in comparison to those states.

I tripped in front of star wars once and i truly believed for 40 minutes my life existed inside star wars and as life (the film) went on I was photographing the events which explained why everything i saw was in a rectangular shape. Hope this helps a bit with understanding what a k hole is like.

AS far as ketamine is comparison to the knock offs such as MXE i find that ketamine makes me silly, playful, giggly and gives a real warped perception of things at smaller doses. MXE at no matter what dose just makes me feel a little uncomfortable in terms of the way i'm thinking. They have roughly the same effects on the body but how it effects your thought just doesn't match what ketamine does.

Thanks for the input guys. From what I can gather, "skidding out" is more of an eastcoast term.
