I am a heavy user of ketamine, but lately the stuff going around seems to be imitations. I consume large ammounts daily so swim is concerned about his health. I want to know what kind of chemicals can give a high something close to k and is it harmful? I its products that can be bought in stores. Be helpful if you guys can let swim know what those products could be.

PCP and DXM are the closest easily available drugs, and I wouldnt recommend either.
Dissasociatives arent a very broad or widely available class of drugs, you should probably try and quit.
Also don't use swim on bluelight.

Methoxetamine is also known on the market, and is very similar to ketamine.
There's also tiletamine, 3/4-MeO-PCP/PCE too.

"Research chemical" means nothing. Up until the 70's LSD was a "research chemical". It was still sold on the open market.

The thing with the newer "research chemicals" is there isn't the past history of experience behind them.. am sure a lot will turn out to be like LSD in terms of safety but it is such an unknon with a chemical that's only been around for a year or two. Can be worth checking ADD out for random new stuff - they are pretty good at looking at the formula and working out what the safety profile might be!!

But yes, avoiding RCs purely because of the name is a little shortsighted.. just do your research first :)

I'm sure you are fully aware but it's becoming increasingly obvious that long-term ketamine use is very bad for the bladder, even requiring removal in some cases (it causes an ulcerative cystitis - here's a case report but there is a lot more info out there and my city is a national centre for ketamine-induced cystitis)

I have also known excessive daily use to bring on a psychotic episode in a close friend, so be careful! Am sure you know all of this, I just want to spread the word really that daily/very excessive use can be bad. Tis good that you are looking out for your health though :)

From all accounts tiletamine isn't much fun at all, and from personal experience I don't find methoxetamine to be very ketamine-like except for the uncoordination at low doses and full blown "m-hole" at high doses - different to a k-hole but can definitely see parallels. I prefer ketamine but tis personal choice really.

Your best bet might be to have a read/search in psychedelic drugs and advanced drug discussion about alternatives, or try to limit your usage to sensible levels. I've personally not found anything that comes close to ketamine for me but moderation (or at least not daily use!!) is the key :)

Chax22,
Ketamine is a beautiful substance and can lead you to a very nice place and/or Remove all the stress and depression in your life for a few hours Completely and have a nice little after effect too that will linger for quite some days,
But moderation is Definately the Key with it.

If you dont cut back you will most likely suffer pain and bladder problems. Im not sure what the people in your area are cutting it with as you are worrying about that. I wonder if you could get a test kit?

Respect The Ket , and you'll be fine. Dont let it take a hold of you! ive heard so many people who have just became addicted to it (psychollogically, Not physically) and its turned them into zombies where nobody is home in their head

Start to cut back per weekly consumption.

how can you tell how pure it is? I dont know the answer to that one

I mean sometimes you just get it in crystals (Brilliant when its in paper and no bag... How am i supposed to crush that up and snort without losing some in a toilet at a rave... Lol)
