So is it safe to use purely as an anxiolytic? Not like the heavy use people do in some places to get kind of a messed up drunkenness. I've been looking for an anxiolytic since doctors don't appear to give two shits about my anxiety, and phenazepam and other benzos are just downright bad for you long term in most cases. Plus attaining them illegally would be very expensive and god knows what's in street drugs.

Anxiolytic for me is like threshold dose for times when I need it, 2x a day max, like when I'm going to sleep and if once if I have a panic attack earlier in the day.

And are there any other drugs I should be considering for an anxiolytic? Like ones that don't require so much time to make?

whoa ill be right back you just reminded me i have a powdered kava extract, id better make use of that right away. ya i got this flavoured one that i heat with milk and brown sugar(hot heroin lol). i used to use all the types of kava. i got this i think it was 90% co2 extract from this canadian site that seemed to disappear. but it was so pure that it numbs your whole mouth when you take it. i also used to just buy the roots bulk but they banned them here in canada. but the tea from just straight roots really doesnt taste good i recommend the flavoured stuff. wiki says kava is equal to valium but id say more like lorazepam.

Is there really that much of a difference between benzos? And thanks for the links, Dank.

Yeah, there's a HUGE difference between the benzos, IME. I now take lorazepam daily, and with the one experience I had with kava, I'd definitely disagree that they feel similar at all. I made the cold tea from the kava root bark (recipe is on erowid) and firstly, the taste was absolutely disgusting...it seemed to be very sedating and it did relieve anxiety, but it didn't exactly feel like a benzo. If it did, maybe something more like temazepam? Just felt kinda heavy personally...it was nice, but I think I'd try something capped up next time --- forcing myself to drink that tea was nearly unbearable (but, for reference, kratom was also almost impossible for me to take down.)

NononojnosnosdnodnoasndoanodansiojojdfiojD NONONO I mean is there a difference between like diazepam and clonazepam.. Not kava and a benzo.

Sorry, I misread your post. And yes there's a HUGE difference between the benzos...I don't find clonazepam to be particularly effective for my anxiety, and diazepam is much better as a muscle relaxer. Alprazolam and lorazepam are shorter-acting and seem best for me, even if I need to take them more often per day because of that. YMMV with benzos, but most people have ones they like more than others.

Never knew that, thought they all were pretty similar.

^ Thank's for teaching me that :) Yeah I find different benzo's to have slighty different effect. Fot example I get super mad and have rage on diazepam. I prefer clonazepam, alprozolam, and temazepam. I like clonazepam to realx during the day since it's not really sedating for me. While alprozolam and temazepam put me to sleep and realx me at night.
