I currently take 15mg of Diazepam a day for Anxiety but I've been looking into Herbal alternatives. I've tried Valerian, Passioflower and a few others and they did absolutely nothing, even when I had 8x the recommended doses. The only others I've been recommended is Kava and L-Theanine. Do these work any better?

L-Glutamine is the direct precursor to GABA, which is the neurotransmitter in your brain that helps regulate anxiety. L-Theanine has been shown to increase GABA levels. Those two supplements in general will be the safest and most effective manner to counter your anxiety. You are giving your body what it thinks it is getting when you take Diazepam.

Kava is a good temporary relief agent, but has addictive potential like diazepam. Amino acids can be supplemented as needed with little to no worry towards their negative effects, as they are exactly what your body knows what to do with.

Couldn't be happier to have someone listen. Amino acids can turn into the cures for a loooooooot of ails.
