kava kava for benzo wd?

i am currently experiencing minor benzo withdrawal.. having taking valium on and off for a few weeks...


so i was wondering if kava would offer me some relief without ultimately prolonging the benzo withdrawal period..

does anyone have any info on this? i tried to search but i came up with relatively little information.. any input would be greatly appreciated.

i would go with some lyrica, or gabapentin if you really have to, works great for opiate and benzo w/d, relieves the anxiety, pain, insomnia, and stimulates appetite

Reasonable choices, but perhaps not things the OP has easy access to. I'm curious about the affects of kava on benzo WD's. It seems like it could help, but that's pure speculation. Perhaps the OP could experiment in the name of science (and possible relief).

Yea I don't have access to neurontin or lyrica..

I took a few kava and it has helped somewhat but im mainly concerned about reseting the benzo wd time as im pretty sure kava works on gaba receptors.. so if anyone out here has any experience with this please let me know
