so it seem's after my day long trial with kava that i have been left quite nauseous the morning after. I took what I would assume is probably no more than 30 grams of powder over the entire day(12-15 hours). I felt fine gastro-intenstinally at the time and was even surprised to find that it's effects were rather passive considering the dose. I later found that some powdered kava requires a dose of anywhere from 10-18 grams, and was less surprised/worried. My question is however, is liver damage possible after one day of (arguably) rather heavy kava use? I almost know I'm being neurotic but figured I'de see what people have to say here, before I run off to the doc like an idiot.. any insight is appreciated.cheers

Gonna bump this one, I hate bringing personal problems into internet forums generally(just saying that made me shake my head), but in this case i'm in the middle of some unrelated panic thats quickly getting out of control and NEED a klonopin. don't wanna take anything until i've gotten an answer

lol well panic attack is over..yeesh,what a fuckin morning. Not worried about my liver anymore, think it's safe to say, most the worry was a result of ocd, and the panic attack I was dealing with as a result of said anxiety disorder. I'll leave this up incase someone has pertinent advice, but i think i'm all good. On an unrelated note it's kinda nice to know i can get through panic attacks without clonazepam, lorazepam,etc... anyway i realize the jury is largely out on the hepatotoxicity of kava so i'm not entirely surprised at the lack of reply's..beyond that the question itself is kinda lame.. thanks anyway, cheers.

hi jeff,

please do not bump your own threads.

i do not know what kava can do to your liver, but... i have only tried kava once, and it left me with an up-set stomach when the high/drunk was over. and that was with a normal, first-timer dose. it was not the result of liver damage.
