I'm making this thread to assess the risk of what I am about to do in the next few weeks.
My history: A little over a year ago my years of drug use caught up on me, something was triggered in my head and everything went different, it's hard to explain but it was bordering lining on psychosis (I made a thread nearly a year ago relating to this if you want to read) Since then I have recovered, I have been off my medication for the past 6 months and doing well, which I can thank my psych, some friends and the good people at bluelight to steering me in the right direction of staying clean.
But recently I have obtained some kava powder and I'm wondering of what light doses (Probably about 20g) could do to the chemistry in my brain. I at first thought that kavalactones weren't risky what so ever, just another sedative/painkiller like opiates/benzos and believed it would be okay to just chill out every now and then until I run out. Since then I have been told and read that high doses can cause people to hallucinate, which is now leading me to believe I was wrong. I also did a little google searching and found that kava can actually act as an anti-psychotic.
I am thinking my chances look pretty good as long as I don't abuse the drug, after all, I have had a friend who suffered from psychosis and went back to tripping after recovering with no consequences (yet), just want a bluelighter opinion on this. What do you think?
