Ethnobotanicals Kava "bell ringer"

Took Kava maaaany years ago and found it quite nice. Then it wasn't available anymore and I forgot about it. A few years back an ex neighbor gave me some capsules (I rembered it in in liquid form) and they did absolutely nothing. I have been thinking about trying to get some, but I'm not sure if it's going to be any good. Provided I find some.

Capsules do nothing. You have to get the kava powder and mix it in water for it to do anything I have found.

I did notice that mixing with water and taking it on an empty stomach is what produces the bell ringer.

I ate the same amount without mixing with water and it doesn't work as well.
