Potentiation: There is already a thread on here about these seeds/oil I found an E. Indian store down the road that sells the seeds (inexpensive) The oil costs quite a bit more, so I thought I would try the seeds first (they are 50% oil) I put 2 tablespoons in my coffee grinder under 10 second they were crushed up enough to stick to the sides/cover - poured about 1 cup boiling water over them, let them cool.

Not as bad tasting as P.S.tea but not great tasting either, I swear a non tolerant opiate person could get a good feel off of these (moreso the oil) I could feel a small opiate effect before I took my meds' there is no placebo effect going on here I repeated the water process (drank, then filled w/ another cup of water, drank, took my 30 mg of oxycodone The pain relief was definately pronounced (felt closer to 50mg's)

But like anything else tolerance probably builds - I plan on using it all week to find out.

Edit: 30 minutes later the effects are even more pronounced - this is looking very promising...

i find these things work really well. almost frighteningly well.
i found that on the third day i tried dosing with them, that the potentiation had diminished to practically nothing.
believe i'll be keeping this trick for special occasions.

First post here. Found 7 oz. of the seeds at a local Indian food store. I downed 2 tablespoons with some tea, which was somewhat revolting, sort of like taking the "cinnamon challenge." Anyway, I waited 20 minutes and then took 10 mg of hydrocodone (I have a low opiate tolerance), and I think there is some potentiation here. I've seen in other threads that other users felt like the effects were increased by a factor of five (I think they were using poppy pods -- codeine and morphine, though. I feel like it might have been potentiated by a factor of two maybe three, but definitely no more than that. Perhaps the seeds were old or maybe even not the right plant. I understand there are many colloquial names for Nigella-Sativa. The package I bought says, "Kalonji". Perhaps, the fact that I was trying to potentiate hydrocodone and not a stronger opiate had something to do with the lackluster results as well. Then again, I've never felt much of any potentiation from coadministration with grapefruit juice or antihistamines like diphenhydramine or doxylamine either. Fascinating subject though. Just thought I'd share my input.
