K2, Kind Spice (JWH-018) Drug Tests On The Way
May 16th, 2010

Soon many people who enjoy using the ever so popular “spice” smoking blends to get high undetected may be wanting to reconsider using the drug.

The company that handles drug testing for the NFL, NCAA and many public schools in the US is working on a test with the ability to detect JWH-018 and its sister chemicals. The National Center for Drug Free Sport Inc. said that they will hopefully have a test for the drug before the fall semester this year. This is a big concern to those who are randomly drug tested for work, school and probation/parole.

While the chemical in these products is legal in 42 states, the NCAA considers it a controlled substance.

Any surprises?

Now more people will fail probation drug tests, and the city and county governments get a raise!

A win win for the justice system.

Dude its obvious, the government makes 1000x's more money having drugs illegal and putting people threw the system. If they were legal then the government would lose all its funding and wouldn't have hardly any power over people. fuck the world

God damn it, I am sick of this shit.

"people are enjoying this and not getting in trouble for it, we must put an end to that"

I mean, seriously, what the fuck, I have not heard any evidence that the JWH compounds are any more dangerous than drinking water, yet they are already being outlawed.... this shit is rediculous

You didn't hear?

JWH Compounds killed Jesus!

i killed jesus while rolling on 2 strong 1990s mitsubishis and 10 hits of sunshine acid.

you shoulda heard the dramatic propaganda-like scare tactics that my local news station was employing while previewing the main story at 11. it went something like " your kids are smoking it, teen are all over it, the new legal pot that's spreading like wildfire and why it isn't banned" they were using the deepest most dramatic voice that literally sounded like the guy they use to narrat horror film trailers. i was enraged. heres the online version of their article. http://wcbstv.com/seenat11/k2.marijuana.serenity.2.1688658.html

This is for athletes. They aren't allowed to take shit like ephedrine or many common OTC nutritional supplements either. The list of substances banned in sport is enormous.

question, if you have a mmj card, can you get in trouble for cannabinoids in you blood stream?

I don't believe there are any medical exceptions for the banned substances list for athletes...

I think there are for things like ADD. They need to get clearance with the sports governing body. It obviously depends what sport we're talking about because they all have different rules and regulations. Track is the only sport I follow, so I only know of the known drugs those athletes use.

I know Justin Gatlin got in trouble in college and I'm almost positive it was for ADD medicine that he had been prescribed siince he was younger, but he didn't get proper clearance or something like that, it's been a while. The NCAA has different rules than other organizations though.

Athletes aren't allowed to take stimulants to treat their ADD.

From the US Anti-Doping Agency:

THERAPEUTIC USE EXEMPTION AND DECLARATION OF USE FORMS AND PUBLICATIONS

Use of substances on the World Anti-Doping Agency’s Prohibited List for medical reasons requires an approved Therapeutic Use Exemption (TUE) OR a Declaration of Use. To gain approval, an athlete must submit the appropriate application form along with substantial medical justification for the use of the prohibited substance at least 21 days in advance of intended use.

http://www.usantidoping.org/athletes/tues/

Probably of interest to someone is this, from their 2010 List of Prohibited Substances:

M3. GENE DOPING

The following, with the potential to enhance athletic performance, are prohibited:

1- The transfer of cells or genetic elements (e.g. DNA, RNA);

2- The use of pharmacological or biological agents that alter gene expression.

I wonder if anyone's been popped for gene doping.

NMS Labs now has a full menu of tests that can detect the use of the designer chemicals present in these products, sold as “incense” or “legal highs.” A few weeks ago, NMS Labs launched a blood test to detect a range of these laboratory-designed synthetic drugs. . ......... So, the gig is up, right? No.

The tests they released on Sep. 16th only test for JWH-018 and JWH-073...
