I'm sure you guys have heard enough horror stories about this garbage but I saw this on the news a while ago. Not sure how legit it all is but It's not the first time I've heard of this.

Leading physicians agree that the “fake weed” is dangerous. "It's like playing Russian roulette. You don't know what it's going to do to you," Clemson University’s organic chemist John Huffman told Fox News. In Missouri, a 14-year-old vomited, suffered seizures, and even quit breathing after smoking a small amount of K2. He remained unconscious for five hours and spent the night in the ICU. Similar cases are being reported across the country, including 14 right here in Georgia. A teen in Atlanta went into a coma and almost died this past weekend. He has since recovered fully, but he considers himself lucky and is telling other teens about the dangers of K2. Georgia legislators are currently trying to ban the synthetic pot.

Man, I don't get it. People market and sell these smoke blends as legal alternatives to marijuana and yet they are far more dangerous.

The legal high is worse than the illegal high...wtf...
 
If it was a reaction to jwh-018 we would hear far more about it. People are smoking blends all over the world right now.

I think these kids smoked two much of the stuff basically.
 
Yeah, legal doesn't mean safe. I think people wrongly assume that just cuz something is legal it is safe. It is legal only cuz it hasn't been made illegal yet. If it is good and causes euphoria it will at some point in the future become illegal, just a matter of time. Legal/illegal has nothing to do with safety. Prohibition is what causes drugs to be a lot more unsafe than if they were legal. It takes the control out of people's hands so that they are forced to rely on the black market and take in possibly unknown substances in unknown quantities.

Never suggested it was safe, and obviously Cannabis has the years of research that these do not. No substance is totally safe obviously. Do I think we are going to find out this stuff is very dangerous? Most likely not, but the potential is there.

By the way, I live in the city to the north of you that starts with an R, right on the border of Wisconsin.
 
I smoke the reg jwh 018 just lace tobacco with it about twice a day and have had no problems. Just like a weed high to me...
 
My view on this is that no research chemical should be an alternative to cannabis, something people use on a very frequent basis often times. This JWH compound has been in existance for a very short period of time, especially for a psychoactive substance.
 
I'm actually pretty sure that the JWH compound has been around for awhile now. Because, for as long as I can remember, there's always been SOME form of "legal blend" available. Whether it be in your local headshop, or in the back of High Times magazine. Cause I can remember smoking a legal blend back in like, 99. How good it was, I don't remember.

But, I think it's been around awhile. I could be completely wrong though.
 
Most of these fucking kids are smoking to much and having panic attacks.

It's not fucking Russian Roulette. I know exactly what is going to happen every time I smoke a JWH. I also know if I smoke to much I'm gonna wig out. But since i'm not a 14 year old kid who thinks he needs to go to the hospital, you won't hear about it.

Of course I wouldn't smoke it if weed were legal and reasonably priced.
 
Dosen't K2 cost about the same as decent nugs? Like $45 an 1/8 vs $50-60 1/8 for good tasty, well known effects danks?

A lot of people on here have made mention that they pay around something like $20 per gram of K2. And that's also other various blends too. Don't quote me on that though, as I'm sure the price changes with the location. And now the price is probably going to get higher, because they're starting to make it illegal in the states...

Grow up, everyone using RCs. They are RESEARCH CHEMICALS and you are the fucking test subject. Don't use it unless you consent to comas, fainting, or death, period. You don't know what this shit does, and neither do we. You like it legal? They stop ODing. This is hitting the news, so you can bet your ass there goes another weed synth... K2 won't be around for long and after they explain it wasn't just the plant material, it was the JWH or the CPP or whatever they use, that will be targeted next.

In my area there was a news report on TV about how this woman supposedly smoked some K2 with her boyfriend and then she passed out and stopped breathing.

If this woman really did pass out and did stop breathing I feel bad for her but the whole thing seemed like propaganda to me.

They had the supposed 911 call and it sounded like the woman and her BF just smoked a lot of K2 at once and got very high and freaked out.

The woman and the media and even some cop on TV said how K2 is in their own words "incense" and how this "incense" is not meant to be smoked or taken at all.

The woman who supposedly passed out said how she was very stupid for smoking K2 and how it made her spiral out of control and how she'll never use it again and how it's very very bad!

The newscaster said how the effects of K2 are not known at all.

During the entire news report on TV it was never mentioned that K2 is a synthetic Cannabinoid research chemical, and it was said how K2 is not illegal to buy or own.

I tried to find a link to a news article or even a video but I couldn't find anything on this story. I'm not in an area where K2 is illegal.
 
I'm just tired of seeing kids get hurt on RCs... this stuff isn't a joke and people don't take it seriously, and those who use it responsibly (not even me, if responsible use is possible atm) are going to lose that legal priveledge due to a select few.

I feel for the 20 year olds who got caught with a 10$ bag and are on probation, but this kid was 14.... Damn, these RCs should not be getting in these kids hands. Just gets me wound up. No ill will towards anyone in particular, I just think these are the drugs of our generation (RCs) and we're going to find out some bad news about em soon... I mean, JWH may be the most prevalent, but there is an RC for every drug out there that works just as good if not better... whether you know of how to get them or not... they just won't be legal forever if this is the trend... Exactly what the media wants, a 14 y/o ODing on a cannabis-like material, which will also give weed a bad rep in a time where it DOES NOT need it. All very frustrated. Whats more frustrating is companies are BANKING and SELLING *CHEMICALS* that they are clueless about. Label it whatever you want, it's going to get smoked if it's bought for 20 a g.

With that said, i swear my next post will be of some bomb weed. Sorry for the tirade.
