Justin Bieber: Justin Timberlake 2.0?

at first i didnt know what to think about Justin Bieber - until he decided for me with the "if i was your boyfriend" song. he has this rhythm and style just like justin timberlake, and this is good because i like justin but he is just too old now.

anyone else think bieber has a strong future and loads of talent?
 
Justin Timberlake moved his career forward with talent in music production, dance and a knack for sketch comedy. In order for Justin Bieber to realize the same success, he will have to prove himself in other mediums as Timberlake did - prove he's more than just a pretty face with a pretty voice.
 
Honestly, I think we should leave it open. It's a fairly legitimate thread. Don't ever expect less from CB.

I guess if I wanted things to be different in NEMD, I should be the change.

I guess my only question is: Wasn't Justin Timberlake already a 2.0 of some other previous media character?
 
I really don't see it, cap'n. Granted, I was exposed to a lot more boy band stuff just due to when I grew up [Backstreet Boys, Nsync, 98 Degrees, dozens more I'm forgetting], so I witnessed Timberlake's progression from Lou Pearlman puppet to JT coming out as a talented individual with an ear for a groove and production. Plus, as someone said, he's a funny motherfucker. Maybe it's just his youth or my lack of exposure to him but I don't see even a flash of the same intelligence and charisma in Biebz.
 
He's a 'good kid', very vapid and bland, allowing you to project whatever you want onto him
In the extremely small section of time I've seen 'chart music' lately I've noticed more boy bands, and I really don't care.
Most of his fans are youths, anyway.

I hate people like you who just like Justin Bieber now that he's famous. I loved him way back when he was still underground, before anyone else had heard about him. I was there from the beginning, a true fan. It's people like you that don't understand the real Beebz. He's way more than just a pretty face. If you listened to his early demo tracks you would've realized this a long time ago. You don't know him like I do and you never will. Who the hell do you think you are questioning his talent like this? On a druggie forum no less! Leave Justin alone.

He is one of the most, if not THE most underrated artist of the 21st century. Joke all you want about him, but he has some of the most introspective lyrics of any contemporary artist out there. Just look at how many records he's selling: BILLIONS! How many has Paul McCartney sold lately? LOLNONE. Beebz - 1 Beatles - 0 Most people are just jealous of his talent and good looks. It's okay to feel insecure, I felt the same way when I first saw him perform. You know, if you read his autobiography (I've read it twice, XD) then you begin understand the real Beebz and you get his struggle and it just gets me so gosh darn upset how much crap he gets. He's so kind and sweet and doesn't deserve any of it. It's so unfair. Can't wait to see him live!
