Hi,
I take lortab 7.5/325 soma 350, ibuprofen 800mg, zolpidem 10mg and, Gabapentin.
First I should explain I've been trying to cut my dosage down on my own without asking my pain doc for help.
I use to take OxyContin 20mg after my car accident and after 6 months I decided to switch doctors that was closer. When I first went I asked to change from the oxy's to norco 10/325. We'll my doctor proscribed 2 norcos 4 times a day. That was a year ago. After a couple months I asked to be given 6 than a couple months later 4. I finally asked to be given a Lower dose medication which is the lortab 7.5/325 4times a day. The only problem he had with me was I would take up to 6 Tylenol with the lortab to get rid of my pain. He said I was damaging my liver and asked if he wanted to raise my dose back up which I refused and just stopped taking Tylenol. We'll last week which is 3 months after he lowered my last dose I went to the doctors and I was drug tested. Than I was about to leave the medical assistant told me to wait right there outside the doctors office. I heard her say my test was negative. Than she asked the doctor if he wanted me to come back. He said why didn't she tell him before I came in and she said she just got it back. He said wait for the test to get back from the lab. I know it's negative, because I've been running out of medication after 3 weeks. I feel if I keep running out I can make myself manage my lortab to last for the month. Than I will go down to Vicodin. I'm afraid, because I'm not taking my medication as described, will he get upset or drop me if I tell him I took more than he prescribed me, because I was trying to make myself lower dosages so I can be on Vicodin?
It's in my chart that I keep requesting lower dosages, so will he consider that?
