Just Realized

Today is the four month mark of being clean from drugs and alcohol. I still smoke cigarettes and I still drink caffeine.

It seems like a lifetime as opposed to 120 days. In the last four months I have:

1) Been to rehab
2) Been in two relationships
3) Gained some muscle (and tone)
4) Practiced a somewhat rigorous healthy eating pattern
5) Been to over 110 12 step meetings
6) Registered for a 3 month course to become an EMT (class starts soon!)

I'm learning a lot about myself and, check this out, I'm feelin' pretty good about myself. I'm changing and learning.

Life isn't chaotic anymore. I used to thrive on the chaos now I'm generally at peace.

I wonder what the next four months will bring...

Sometimes it's amazing to look back and realize how much you've accomplished in a short time period. It makes one think that life really isn't too short and anything is possible, which is a good thing. :)

Congrats on your 4 months! <3

Oh, I'm so happy for you!!
Its crazy how things change so fast :)
Excited for you on the EMT classes!!

Congrats on your 4 months!

Congratulations OverDone! The best thing of all is that you see yourself as being generally at peace. Some (hell, many) people who haven't had to struggle with an overwhelming addiction spend their entire lives trying to find this. This is an accomplishment to be proud of sir.

You are an inspiration. When you're feeling low, remember that.

Its 122 days now. My clean date is Aug. 21st (or 22nd) I forget. I've just picked up a new method to keep track.

Today is Dec 21st so I just add 101 days to December's date (Dec 25th plus 101 will be 126 days). Odd, I know but I got tired of counting on my fingers.

I need to refer to my rehab journal for my exact clean date. Its either August 21st or 22nd.
