Heroin Just picked up a half G (NYC)

I just got a tanish rock seen below (half G). I was desperate (and used craigslist ... sigh) but surprisingly things worked out very smoothly.

I'm very worried about how potent it is though (first time with H), dude said it was fire but you can never be sure. Does this at least look like it could be good? Never seen it in rock form before.

Are there any simple ways to test general potency?

We don't allow speculation on stuff like this, get it professionally tested or use color changing spot tests like Marquis/Mandelin etc.
