Just had the cops at my house.

So about a week ago I ordered a few tests from eztest. I ordered it to my moms address since I am moving soon and possibly would be gone by the time it arrived.
After I got home from work I got a call from her and she told me two cops or it could have been customs came to her house today and asked her a bunch of questions like do you know X do you know anything about drug test kits? do you know if X has ordered any drug test kits?

Any one in Canada have a similar experience? They said they might be back to drop of the package.
 
That sounds excessive, for them to come to your residence and start questioning your mother about a test kit. I am from Canada and have never had problems with customs in regards to EZtest's kits.
 
Jesus christ that's really making me reconsider the whole free reagent testing campaign I was thinking of embarking on and advertising on craigslist. Could having totally legal testing kits for use in the form of non-profit harm reduction be twisted by some stretch of imagination to legally qualify as probable cause? If so, fuck that.

What's the recent death toll out west up to now, 11? I get that this stuff is delicate and controversial and it should be no surprise they don't whole heartedly support pill testing (since it does kind of encourage use even though it's a very effective form of harm reduction) but I don't think it would be unreasonable to turn a blind eye to a free individual ordering a legal product that could very well save someone's life, at the very fucking least they could not go so far out of their way to investigate something like that when there are much better things they could be doing.

FFS, it's not like you were in public doing something illegal (like smoking weed which thankfully they do tolerate) - no, they came to your door to inquire about your own private totally legal affairs...

Its probably because of the mass amounts of PMMA going around. I live in the (by far) worst hit city, over 25 deaths related to PMMA recently. They are probably checking out anyone and everyone ordering things that could be related to this. They likely are under the assumption you ordered the test kit to see if your quarter pound of MDMA powder is actually MDMA (since you know, cops don't know a damn thing about drugs, how they're made, what they are, nothing).

Funny cuz like the drug war it will do the opposite of what they want... what if this scares some people from getting a testing kit and die.... Instead of being safe

I just ordered a testing kit for safety purposes. Your post actually made me angry because not everyone in this world is trying to be drug dealers and what not. If cops came to my house i'd raise hell.
 
ive decided to take a break from pills while this is all going on, and I'll be ordering a test kit before I do any again, planning to wait for shambhala to really enjoy it a 6month break will be nice, though I consider myself a light user, 2 capsules a roll, and rolls about 2 months apart. This PMMA has defiantly made me be more cautious.

I also cant help but think of possible conspiracy theory's of being another attempt at the war on drugs by shady leaders and LEO
 
it's always a great idea to take a break from using any substance. goodjob and keep up the good work. moderation is key :]

Not being funny but is there not a chance your mum opened the packaged and is now putting the shits up you because she now knows you're doing drugs?
 
A little update... The packaged arrived intact 2 days after the questioning and is now in my posestion! yay. going to be careful for a while though not keeping drugs at my house and stuff. I bet the cops are going to want to keep an eye on me thinking im some big drug lord.

You think thats bad? Cops in my city have prohibited harm reduction campaigns. They say harm reduction doesn't work, what we need to do is slam abstinence of drugs on users. Its just awful...
 
Probably a good idea to cease all drug-related activity around you and your house. The vampires have been called to the door and ya gotta be careful if you let them in.

Media reports from western Canada have mentioned me and TRIP! saying we're having a hard time shipping kits to Canada, and I've seen responses in those media reports that the kits aren't illegal, so *shrug*.

That said, I've been looking at Canadian Customs information lately, and they might have simply been wanting you to confirm it was what you bought and charge you tax on it. Canadian recipients have to pay tax on the value of the goods that are imported, and they might have to have documentation of their own (like a matching invoice) that shows the shipment was what they ordered and no different.

Canada: a good place for the U.S. to get MDMA. U.S.: a good place for Canada to get their reagent test kits.
