Just got rxd 30mg Opana ER

Just got prescribed 30mg Opana ER for legitimate pain. What the best way to take these things besides IV.

The best thing to do is take them as prescribed. If you are a pain patient then you really don't want to be abusing your meds; tolerance will go up, and if you pick up a bad opioid habit then it could severely affect your ability to be prescribed opioid analgesia for your pain.. Plus drugs companies are developing new, less abuse-able formulations so you could find yourself in trouble in the future.

If they are not strong enough taken orally then speak to your doctor and see if you can increase your dose or look at other analgesics..

If you are determined not to swallow them then insufflated would be your best bet (bioavailability megathread).

Opana is next in line to be switched to the new Tamper Resistant Formula, has oxycontin here in the usa and now canada have already been. The new ones are plasticky, impossible to crush and turn to a gel mess when wet. The efficacy when used as directed is similar to the old formula, but there is ongoing debate about this.

I haven't seen the new formulation yet in my area, but I read that it's similar to OxyContin "OP". The oxy op's are almost impossible to crush, you have to use a fine cheese grater.
