Just got prescribed Lorazepam

^yes. It will perhaps take your anxiety away. Why don't you just text it out before your presentation? .5mg (for no tolerance) should be just fine to take away your anxiety. I have anxiety/panic attacks, etc... and had a 1mg lorazepam prescription at one point in time. When I took half (.5mg) it was effective. when I took a whole pill (1mg), I was relieved BUT sleepy, so if you're in class - take half.

Also I have a question. It says that lexapro may affect lorazepam. In what way will it affect it? Make it more strong? weaker?

Now my doctor knows that im taking lexapro so it cant be much. But im curious cuz im looking lorazepam up online and it said that
 
I don't know how Lexapro would effect Ativan, but who knows. A good dose of Ativan for someone with no benzo tolerance would be 0.5 mg - 0.75 mg for anxiety relief. 1 mg would be okay, I guess, but if you want to coserve, I'd stick to 0.5 mg - 0.75 mg, see how it works. By the way, Ativan is a very "subtle" benzo, so while you might not feel it at lower doses, it is still working.
 
During a presentation you could possibly have break-through anxiety if your anxiety is bad enough, that's what I'd take more than 0.5 for a presentation because it's a stressful task for those with anxiety disorders. And doctors believe that low doses of benzos can synergize with SSRI's like lexapro to help relieve anxiety more.... I personally hated Lexapro or any SSRI/SNRI I've been prescribed
 
i took 1 mg and didnt feel different at all. I was suppose to present but my teacher now said tomorrow but i already took some. I didnt notice me acting any different. Didnt feel different. Nothing. How much should i take to start to feel something?

What exactly are you trying to feel?
 
^ If you're not anxious it's normal not to feel any different, especially with lorazepam which is a subtle benzo. Anyway I don't like much lorazepam.
 
^ One day I was anxious too, and lorazepam didn't do anything.
 
If you took 1mg and it didn't work should of put another 1mg under your tongue and presented 2mg should def work when anxious.... i know 2mg would have me spaced out as fuck and i have been taking it for 6 months or so
 
i took 1 mg and felt nothing. Which means how much should i take tomorrow to feel any effects?
 
Did you put it under your tongue or you swallowed it?.... Lorazepam is a fast acting benzo works hella lot faster then other stuff i have taken which is why i love it panic attacks or anxious feeling

i swallowed two .5 mg pills.
 
It takes like 30mins or so for it to work when you swallow it... Matters how much food in your stomach.... like almost everyone said in this thread, put it under your tongue and let it dissolve, it should start working in like 5 mins or so..... Try taking 1.5mg since you seem to be really bugging about presenting
 
i swallowed them because i was suppose to present in 30 mins not 5. Im thinkinh of taking like 3mg
 
if its prn start with .5mg if anxietys mild then if no good take 1mg panic attacks ect. Then on your good dayzz youzz dont need to use it say for two dayz then if you have a major panic attack or feelin quite anxious through a bad day then the ones youve saved through not takin on a anxiety free day will level its self out like. So basicly we all have good and bad dayz. But on one of your bad dayz .5mg prn prescribed aint doing the trick then take 1 of your prns youve saved from a anxiety free day.So you dont over use dont build up a tolerance so quick.So just be savvy and just take it when you need two and dont when your okay then you stick two your dose in your doctors eyes and youve got the saved PRN to do the trick use in moderation start low build up be good
