Just got out of 5 day detox. Few Questions..

So like the title says I just got out of detox from opiate abuse (opana 40er) was my drug of choice. This is my first time goin through detox and it wasn't quite as bad as I expected minus the stomach cramps and constapation I have from the methadone. I was given 10mg Day 1, 20mg Day 2, 20mg Day 3, 10mg Day 4, and was given 5mg Day 5 which is today. I was given my last dose at 6:30am. I was addicted to opiates for about a year. What type of w.d. Should I experience from the methadone? Also I have some suboxone. Is it wise to take light dosages of that if the methadone w.d are that bad? This is my first time so any input and advice is greatly appreciated
 
It depends totally on your own tolerance as well as the amounts using, there's not really an easy way to quantify withdrawal symptoms. All I can recommend is just to taper off the metd slowly, and if it gets too bad maybe up the dose a couple mg.

Don't combine it with suboxone though, it'll just fuck up your taper doses, plus both metd and bupe have some strange binding affinities, so taking one with the other could put you into precipitated withdrawals.
 
I strongly urge you to carefully research, and weigh your options (and your pain/sickness, of course) before staying on Methadone any longer thank you need to be. It has it's place, I'm sure it saved my life..TWO, and a half years ago. 5 day detox...yeah - stay on this stuff, keep upping dosages, and you will find yourself adversly more physically addicted that you probably were to the opana's....Just my opinion. Suffering sucks, but this stuff? I truly think it's is harder to get off after any sort of time being on, than HEROIN. But the Mod absolutely right, your tolerance is your own. Maybe do a little research - like I said, it's a lifesaver, but it has it's place for everyone-I wish you the BEST! :o) I think Subutex, is Suboxone minus the blocker, but don't quote me. Wish I would have known this stuff!!!! Good luck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
