i sit here tapping my fingers
deep thoughts run through my head
nothing else
just thinking of you
the sound of your voice
and that smile on your face
my heart beats fast as i reach for the phone
i pull back
i can't do it
i'm too excited
too anxious...
to talk to you again (as i reach for the phone)
i grab it this time
holding your phone number in my other hand
i look back and forth
phone number...
to phone...
to phone number...
flipping the phone number between my fings
i jab myself with the phone
JUST CALL!!!!
those words i tell myself over and over
what is wrong with me?
i want to talk to her
i'm dying to talk to her
i'm dying to hear her voice
but i'm nervous
i'm shaking
i'm breathing in deeply
how does this one single person do this to me!?
stopping all of a sudden
i hold my breath
dial the number
listening for the ring
still holding my breath
i feel my heart racing
*RING*
i let out a slight "sigh" of nervousness
i know i can't turn back now
at least i finally made it this far
*RING*
i hear the phone pick up
and her voice says "hello?"
a smile comes over my face
