just bought a PC .. recommend me an addicting game!

Oh if you don't know what your video card details are download GPU-Z (google it, should only be 1 or 2 MB), run it, and post the results here, should help people recommend games that'll be more likely to run smoothly on your system.

Also note if you intend to add mods to games (especially the likes of Oblivion, Fallout 3 etc) then you'll want to have a lot of system memory.

What about strategy games? A game like Civilization 4 will run on your computer without a problem, no two games are the same and the mechanics are very complex, there are a number of different ways to win. All this means it has endless replayability and can it be easily obtained cheaply.

Everquest 2. There is a free trial to see if it's too much game for the machine but with the right settings I expect it would run fine and it's like crack.

Civ 4 is great, and usually around $10 on steam or gamers gate given Civ 5 is coming out soon. I'd recommend playing with the Beyond the Sword expansion and Bat/Bug mods. If you want to lose further 100s of hours check out some of the total world conversion mods like the fantasy Fall From Heaven.

In a similar vein Medieval Total War 2 is fun if you're into strategy and also very cheap given its sucessors Empire & Napoleon Total War have come out in the last couple of years. MTW2 also has some great mods including a Tolkein world conversions.

I wish I had the time to play games :(

Not sure gaming is much healther tho :o

video games arent unhealthy unless you obsess over them and let them take over your life, as long as you can function they arent unhealthy at all

they are beneficial, without a doubt, your playing theese games working on stradegy, and timing and everything (your body is like an rpg, practise inproves you skil) the more video games you play, the more talented you get

if you want something healthy, buy a DDR pad, and a converter, and download stepmania, and packs of mixes, i have 5000 songs, everyday i get better

Tibia is a intensely awesome MMORPG and you can play free or pay monthly

and you dont need a good graphics card or anything for it to work smoothly
