People going to Thailand should be careful with pills.
There is loads of cheap amphetamine coming from a neighboring country and people try to sell this as E to tourists.
This stuff is called YaBa and is definitely not fun.
You are warned.

Try Silom soi 4 in Bangkok.
That's an alley right next to PatPong (but very different).
Find some long term Westerners, they will be able to tell you the "current hot spot".
It changes every week over there.....
Pattaya, I don't know but it shouldn't be too hard to find some "good" party in Bangkok.

Hi, I saw the quote about 'YABA' further up.We had a recent warning about it at our University in the U.K.So here is what I know.The drug was originally invented by the Nazi's during world war two for their failing troops in Russia.It is an amphetamine based substance that is easier to make than speed and has a much greater effect.It basically acts to keep you awake for up to three days and causes hallucinations throughout.This to me didn't sound too appealing,so my advice is to stear clear.
