My internet has been a bit inconsistent lately, and i have noticed that when it's slow, in between posting something and viewing your post there is a page with this message:

Thank you for posting! You will now be taken to your post. If you opted to post a poll, you will now be allowed to do so.

Don't you need to ask a mod to make a poll for you on this website, or are there sub forums where you can do it yourself?

Yea, I dont know why that happens... I've gotten the same message a few times, and it happens just like when you said, when things are running very slow. I dont know why it does that.
 
Heh, typically when posting a reply it doesn't drag so long and people hardly even see that message as it blips right past it and shows you the updated thread. However, when things slow down, and that 'wait' message is displayed, then yes...people see it and can read the whole thing. That said, the message listed is a default built into the software so people know to 'wait' while the thread or post is being submitted...it's a standard default message. On 'our' site, however, we have disabled the option for members to post polls....so that particular bit is not relevant....but being part of the default software we can't exactly change it, either. :\ Sorry.
 
yeah, you can definitely change that text in vBB - i'm a regular on a couple of other vBB sites and they say something completely different.

I suggest that we change it to say something like 'thanks for logging in to Bluelight, we have now logged and geolocated your IP address and the DEA are on their way round. don't struggle, it'll just make things more difficult for yourself." ;)
