The tightness of his stomach skin
when I grab a piece of it between my fingers
and snap it back
can be likened to the effect of a raindrop
fresh out of the tumultuous sky
in slow motion
His torso--chest to buttocks
seems to be carved hastily by Michelangelo
as the Pieta's precursor,
and his figure is chiseled subteley
so the finer muscles are absent to the bystander.
Only when I step away from him to gaze,
my heart pumps blood into my cheeks
and I rush forward to violate the artwork
using my fingertips.
