I just wanted to share a few things I have learned about greening out and how to deal with it. I am by no means an expert on cannabis, there are so many people much more experienced than me. I do, however, have the credentials of being an absolute buffoon and in my early days of smoking, I would frequently green out. In my experiences, a lot of panic surrounds the physical effects of greening out, like dizziness, lightheadedness, nausea, sweats, or chills and all of these are caused by THC decreasing your blood pressure. A really simple trick I have learned is to just stand up and walk back and forth, as this increases your blood pressure as well as giving your mind something else to focus on. Sometimes it can be hard or unsafe to stand up if you’re dizzy, lightheaded, or weak so if you must not stand then sit with your legs crossed, leaning slightly forward and rocking a little. THC has the propensity to cause the feeling of being pulled backward across vast distances and at fast speeds, but this goes away when you stand or lean forward and I think the rocking helps because rocking stimulates your vestibular system, which helps regulate your nervous system, lowers stress, and gives a sense of grounding.

Also, remember to sip before you rip, and drink water after you’re done smoking as well.
