I'm sure a lot of people know that different juices have effects in the digestive system, which in return can increase or lengthen the effects of pills during digestion, or have little to no effect at all. Also noted, that there is danger involved, like there is with most anything we ingest. I couldn't find a clear thread on the absolute and clear facts, or a thread completely contributed to juices effects on pill ingredient absorption. Hopefully we can come up with a chart or just a good amount of comments from individual members that anyone can compile personally. I believe it is knowledge everyone should know. If I missed a thread with these specifics, please re-direct me and then close the thread, I just couldn't find a good source of full information. So hoping we can make that here.
So as far as I know is grapefruit juice can increase the absorption process and intensify or lengthen the effects of certain benzos, due to the juices effect on digestion... yada yada. From what I've seen (as far as benzos) is that only a few benzos are really effected by grapefruit juice. Two of the most popular benzos, Alprazolam and Clonazepam ( Xanax and Klono... well you know what they are lol). Study from Harvard shows that Klonopin shows little to no effect with drinking grapefruit juice, however Xanax has been shown to be more impacted by the effects of grapefruit juice working in the stomach.
Here's what I'd like to add for information to compile:
What other pills are effected by different juices besides, and including Benzodiazepam
What are the different juices or citric "liquids" or "solids" that effect pills in general.
How do they effect the pills absorption, increase or decrease, and especially, what are the possible dangers that can occur because of the mixtures?
I appreciate anyone and everyones input. I think this would make a good source page because I see a lot of people don't have full knowledge of these things. We are all pros when it comes to drugs, that's why we're here. We have all had some intense experience either personally or vicariously. This is something I first heard of a few years ago with the old myth of drinking orange juice with ecstasy for a better high and come down. I never researched or pursued the truths of it, but out of the 100's of E rides, there was of course a few bad ones. If I had the definite knowledge back then that orange juice could have saved me from a bad trip, it would have saved me a few panic attacks! That's why I think this compilation of mixtures is important information to gather. Let me know what you guys think. The more input the better.
Negative or positive, I'm not judgmental and don't fight back lol so be mean and call me an idiot, or agree that this info holds value to have all in one place. Thanks in advance for those of you who add helpful information to this thread,
Thanks
Klaus~
