JUDGE MY HASH - first attempt

Every pic I seen, and the kief I had was green and sometimes blondish color, its FUCKING GREEN.

If your kief is green you need a better screen. Buy a kief box with a decent silk screen in it and a nice stainless collecting tray. Not too much money. You will get nothing but, actual kief being trichromes, crystals or resin whatever you call it where you are.
 
I'm assuming that most of the keif you've seen has been collected in grinders. Crystal-catching grinders aren't exactly the most sophisticated hash-making equipment, they generally don't even have a screen that's the right size to allow trichomes through but exclude plant matter; they just have a bit of mesh that lets some fine stuff fall through. Look at the trichomes on your bud-they might be white, they might be amber, but they ain't green.
 
Even when I had a 20 dollar metal grinder I didnt get green kief. Kief should never be any color other than golden brown. Also you could use the leaves to make qwiso but using only leaves even with a very quick wash will still give you okay hash oil. Anyways though this thread and your attempt at creating hash both sucked.
 
Tights (pantihose I think you guys call them) for a budget option (that's what the Moroccans use) or a printing screen if you want to do a proper job. Get a 150 micron and a 70 micron if you want to make really good hash. The trichomes will go through the first screen and sit on top of the second one, while some of the dust, plant matter and other fall through. If you use tights, at loeast glue them to a frame rather than stretching each time, that way you have a consistent pore size. Either way, the more screens you use the more different grades of resin you collect, you can always recombine them later if you want. Be aware that dry sifting has a lower yield than water extraction; however, it tastes better as you don't wash away the flavoursome terpenoids, and if you make oil afterwards you get all the cannabinoids you would have done with a water extraction anyway. Hell, you could dry sift, then water extract, then make oil if you wanted.
 
There is this documtary called Hashish that i highly recommend. English subs, but the people do speak alot of broken english that u can pickup if u are high enough, lol :)
 
Ive been collecting keif in my coffee grinder and its a pale yellow. Sadly ive smoked most of it over the last 2 days, wait all of it. Well ill have to start collecting again.
 
yeah i love when people use a kief screen and are amazed that they can continue to pass it thu and rub and grind it hard and they get more "keif"... it seems no one ever listens when i say theyre ruining it by putting plant matter with the trics AND WHEN THAT HAPPENS THE CLEARISH YELLOW BEIGE COLOR KEIF TURNS GREENISH
so to the kid whos arguing the color then youve only ever seen a low grade keif which actually was keif(trichromes) mixed with tiny ground up leaves(shake) hence being green

the finest crystal should never be pressed......but lets just say you have to do it (or at least in ur own mind) try using a spoon,get a spoon hot as fuck and then put water in it tell it pretty much explodes,ul have some water left bubbling on the spoon,then pour ur crystal on it,and press it down,add a few drops of water on top of this goupy mixture,and hold under the flame of a torch,once u smell it turn the torch off,and press down with ur finger,after the spoon cools make shure u dont feel any moisture,if u do,just add a bit more heat,if u dont feel any moisture,then put ur spoon in the freezer and it will harden right on the spoon,ul be able to chizzle it off with a pin ,and if ur talented enough,it should come off in the shape of a spoon,peace little buckeroos im off to eat some ravioli lmfao
 
yup. and the statement of "crystal is better unpressed" is untrue.
pressing bursts the trichomes, releasing the thc for it to blend, and IMO gives a better overall flavour & high than unpressed clumps of kief
