i have always found it easier to roll cones using a dollar bill. fold the bill about 1/3 of the way down, and put all yer weed in the fold. if your right handed put less weed on the right side, this will be the mouthpiece (left handers, you get the idea...) i like to leave a little chunk of weed where the mouthpiece will be so it blocks any finer bits from getting sucked in. a friend of mine used a little stem for the same purpose. focus on getting the mouthpiece right, try to make a hole about 2mm across. do this by folding the bill over and to the right at about a 30-40 degree angle. on the lighting end, don't worry too much as long as your cone is not so fat that the paper doesn't meet when it folds around. lick the corner of the paper near the mouthpiece and stick on, the corner should be about 1-2cm away from the mouthpiece, sense you're actually rolling the paper a little crooked. ideally the other corner of the same end of the paper composes most of the mouthpiece. this is hard to explain, but what i'm trying to say is that one whole short end of the paper will not be at the mouthpiece, because it's a cone, that end will wrap around the joint and the glue part of it will be about 1.5cm form the mouthpiece. on the other end the two corners should overlap a little so the joint isn't too wide and you end up with a little "V" gap that makes the joint too short. anyway, take the joint out of the bill and lick the rest of the glue, from the outside, i find trying to lick it all at once before you fold it over makes it harder. let it dry, and pack in any weed that fell out of the other end, twist it off, and go for it!
(damn that was long and hard to explain, sorry but for me joint rolling is an art form, i learned from the master...)
