Joint or cones?

Mines sitting at the back of my cupboard now. It is a good idea and I like the idea of healthier non stinking smoke but yeah probably more of a novelty for me too. Although I did enjoy the effects I think I'm a bit to impatient for a vapouriser ;)
 
since i can't pull a cone, my only choice lies in joints and rockets or small hash pipes...

to me a bong is a just too skanky (IMO) whereas a well rolled joints being puffed away with a couple of friends is just cool.
plus i like the practicality aspect of it as well.
 
^^^ I think bongs look skanky, but only when its a bong made from a fanta bottle, with a piece of hose for a pipe and tinfoil for the cone piece.

A nice glass bong (which is clean), looks pretty good IMO.

No emptying the 10L bucket (water filled one) became too much effort!

One night over at a mates place We all decided to have buckets. I said I'd make one, they all said nah too much trouble... I had the bottom cut off and the lid melted within 30secs.... Was quite funny as I was pulling the bucket they all looked up... UR DONE ALREADY.... I was making them quite often at that stage.

The best bottles to use for buckets are... 3L milk bottles or those HUGE tall 3.5L Juice bottles, you know the ones with the Handles around the mouth Piece, They're the BOMB!;)

MMM Vaporiser looks like an option however if you have Asthma! Looks like a great option!:D

Nice looking bongs are Perfect Powerade bottles, fill them with the kettle to shape the bottle down... Nice clean LONG Aluminium Pipe and a Decent sized cone, Nice big shothole to drill the Ghost, then your set. I tend to find the Taylors a bit harsh on the old throat and much prefer the Bottles... I used to have an Osama Bin Laden bong, Wasn't too bad, but It became an Ornament on the wall....

Yeah, bongs. Joints have their place, but are a novelty; if you're a serious smoker and spend a fair bit of money on weed, you want to be efficient about the whole process. I couldn't go back to joints. It just doesn't make sense to me.

As for girls pulling cones... I guess there's nothing inherently skanky about that, but in practise it seems to be the skankier chicks who truly master the ol' billy on average. I'm glad my girlfriend smokes a barely-half cone to get totally smashed and doesn't even pull it.
 
Bongs are way more efficient and if i wanna get really stoned i'll smoke cones. (or if i'm feeling patient, eat it)

But i usually smoke weed with friends and i much prefer the ritual of passing the joint around a group of friends.

Yeah I have to agree about the skanky bongs... coke bottle with a garden hose and same bong water for a month ect ect.... eegghh how gross!! it's no wonder most girls won't wanna use it.... on the other hand you get a nice glass bong and clean it regularly it'll probably be a different story...

I found in the circles I've been in that us Aussies smoke way more out of bongs... (usually shit homemake jobs too) where as the Canadians usually smoke out of a nice glass pipe (which they usually take everwhere with them) or else roll up a couple of huge fatties and pass it around... They are usually very generous with their weed and you'll quite often see a J or pipe getting passed around at a party you have no idea who the owner is... and no they don't mix their ganga just big fat clean and green that's they way they smoke theirs... unlike most of us dirty Aussies an Brits mixin in all that bakkers... but then over there BC bud is like half the price and usually Amsterdam type quality (damn strong)...not surprising cause you can buy all the Amsterdam breed seeds there legally....

I say yeah bong and pipe is usually the one that gets ya more stoned... and I prefer but then again If you smoke a Canadian style J you're gonna get way high too. ;) and you can usually take a fatty pretty much anywhere with ya with the least risk...

Funny they had no idea what I was on about when I said I was gonna punch a cone....

Oh a little side note...
A couple of tips I picked up from the Canadians:

1) I found the best way to clean a glass pipe or bong is to put in raw rice grains then quite a bit of metho (or rubbing alcohol if you're American or Canadian!!) and then plug all holes with your fingers or whatever... then shake... Do this once or twise and it'll look and even smell brang spanking new!!

2) A simple cannister style coffee bean grinder with a push button on the top (roughy $30CAD or $40CAD) is almost a nessesity if you're Canadian (they're chronic!) and is no longer called a coffee grinder but a bud buster... ;) whack you're quater in and hey presto you're ready to start makin them brownies!!:D or puffin your (daily Canadian) 4:20 ritual... all these nice little crystals get cought around in the top lid of the bud busta that I've heard give an amazing high when smoked...

OHHHH YEAH, it sure does. Best way is to save it up... Get a good 2 weeks of chopping in there, then when you scrape out all of it If you can get just one cone.... It get's you fukkin wasted off just 1. It's incredible, All that THC concerntrated into a fine dust around the top of the old Mull-a-Matic!!!

I advise any regular users to invest in a Coffee grinder just for this purpose alone... Never clean the thing, then the day comes when your down on your luck no cash, no weed, but all you wana do is get smashed... Rub out the powder and toke toke toke, take it to the head, take it to the head!!! You only need 1 cone and your good!!!

This mull-o-matic we had just needed 1 second and it was nearly all dust....


Cones with thc dust on top were hurta...you'd only need 1 or two..
 
Does that mean I'm hanging around the wrong girls because they pull cones or because they pull cones in a skanky manner? I can actually only think of two girls who can pull a cone like a dude can, and they certainly do lean towards the skanky side. Definiately the wrong girls to be hanging with in my book.

I really have a bit of a stigma against girls pulling cones, I think, in some smallish way. How fucking sexist is that?
 
i think i girl who can punch a cone is fine. Actually i like watching girls pull cones.

What makes it more socially acceptable when a guy rips a cones then when a girl rips a cone. Makes fuck all sense to me.
 
I'm afraid I got a bit turned off when living with an 18 year old girl who alternatively pulled cones and sucked her ventolin inhaler for most of every day.

Then there was a mate's girlfriend who'd stagger in pissed and pull cones of straight tobacco if no-one would give her mull.

So, while it doesn't actually repulse me, I can't say I find the image of a beautiful girl pulling a cone to be attractive in any way.
 
I don't think anyone thinks anyone looks good while pulling a cone IMO. Girls/Guys it doesn't matter.

I went from bongs to having a 3 month break from smoking, to now smoking J's, I like the mellow high it delivers without putting me on my arse and rendering me useless.

And I'm getting good at rolling them too
 
Nothing makes it more socially acceptable for a guy to rip cones as compared to a girl. Its just a harmless bit of random predjudice, something that I'm amused to notice exists in me. Could be worse.
 
Okay here goes...I am mainly a bong person but my dad taught me ages ago to roll joints that rip u near as hard. Trick is to get tobacco around the outside of the weed in the J. And roll it FAT + make the tip (the breathing end) of it rather large but rolled up enough to filter out crappy bits that usually get stuck to ur throat. Anyhoo....bongs are the best but my ideal way I been smokin is smoke a fat J with my dad (about 2 gram + in it of nice hydro) and then punch some bongs down....Oh yeah...for hash and hash oil I would recommend a vaporiser ,get high off that, then smoke a few cones, u won't be standing up in a hurry is all.....

Also..if u got some really nice pure sativa buds (i.e, haze, thai, durban, hawaiin sativa skunk, etc) then a joint is a MUST. They get out more of that bewt sativa flava from a well rolled J.

Must say i`m a bong boy myself, joints never really did it for me even when i was starting to smoke. I just love having a huge bowl of weed chopped a good crew sitting around, passing the bong around talking shit..its classic

Also with chicks charging down the cones it doesn`t bother me to much, means i don`t have to worry about the amount of weed to pack in the cone, makes the bong go around quicker

I feel the same way. I have never seen a person in NZ mix weed with tobacco. When I go back home to Australia I find it strange that people always seem to mix tobacco with weed. I refuse to smoke it when its mixed.

Lots of people in NZ seem to be keen on the hot knives, they roll little balls of weed up and press it between too hot knives (they heat the knives on the stove element). They then suck the smoke that results from this up thru a tube or a bottle with the bottom cut off.

I havent smoked weed in years tho ..
