the last couple of years i've said a few words around this time, and often its been when i'm in the state i am in right now; drunk and sentimental, and this year is no different...
usually what i say distills down to two words: stay safe, and i cant really improve apon that, except to maybe spell it out a bit clearer for those that may not get where i'm coming from...
getting fucked up is what this season is all about. it always has been, since the first pagan ceremonies of millennia ago, this time of year had alway been about saying fuck you to the trials and tribulations of the year, and using what tools for escape are available to us. whether it be alcohol, or dope, or mushrooms or MDMA or 2C-T-7, the time comes when we need to take a break and get fucked up...
excess is programmed within all of us, and for good reason; the world is a terrible place at times, and we need escape from it. the thing that worries me, and worries me more as i grow older, is the miscalculation, the misjudgement that takes a night of excess into the realm of the un-take-backable...
too many lessons are learned the hard way, and this is one that altho i know i've learned, i dont expect anyone else to listen to my drunken, sentimental ramblings...
learn it the hard it way if you have to, or spend that moment of clarity realising the consequences of your actions, or those of your friends, either way the lesson is learnt and i will think no less of you....
just know that Bluelight is here for you, to celebrate the successes, or help you when you stumble, we're all here for you...
enjoy the coming Bacchanalian excess, as generations of your ancestors have, and above all stay safe )

Precisely my sentiments. I'd like to add my best wishes to you all for a happy holiday period and a safe and enjoyable 2002.
BigTrancer :)

Now here's a christmas sentiment I can agree with... :)
Hope everyone stays safe and has an enjoyable time today, and for those that went to Sunny Xmas Party I hope you're feeling better than I am right now! ;) I'm really not looking forward to dealing with the relatives today!
And also thanks to everyone on bluelight for your advice and humour, and for helping me fill in countless hours that I could otherwise be using productively... ;)
Cheers! :D

Best whooshes to everyone, especially to JB, BT, and all others who have contributed so much. A great year, well done guys!

I know I've said this in another thread but...
MERRY X-MEN EVERYONE!
...and...
...I hope everyone has a better time than I generally have as my life can be likened to the man in mythology that is chained to a giant stone and regrows his liver after is gets slowly pecked out and eaten by a blackbird EVERYDAY!...
...and...
A horse is a horse of course of course
and no one can talk to a horse of course
except of course if that horse of course
is the famous Mr. Horse!
Go right to the source and ask the horse
he'll give you the answer that you endorse
he's always on a steady course
he's the famous Mr Horse!

- While I believe, in time, our band will be most triumphant, the truth is Wyld Stallions will never be a super band until we get Eddie Van Halen on guitar.
- Yes, but I do not believe we will get Eddie Van Halen until we have a triumphant video.
- But it's pointless to have a triumphant video before we even have decent instruments.
- Yes, but how can we have decent instruments before we really know how to play?
- That is why we need Eddie Van Halen!
- And that is why we need a triumphant video.
- EXCELLENT!

Well said JB.
I dont think it could have been said better.
But.....
Sifu... YOu can't help yourself can you? hehe
PLay safe everyone... MERRY X-MAS

Great words JB!
It sounds like a prayer of grace before we indulge in the fruit of the gods. Before we go out and experience heaven for those few moments, lets be thankful for all that we have. Lets thank the lessons we have learnt, and the lessons those who have passed, to whom we never listen but in old age we realise the truth in their words.
Cheers and as JB said, stay safe! :)

Here here for JB.
Chag Sameauch, Happy Channukah and Merry Christmas.
