ha, it wouldnt surprise me, i think id need to be on drugs to do that job. Was he focussed and quick, or just scatty and all over the place ?
Well done Knock, that's one of the best things you can do buy not ticking that box as they like to use UJM site to summon up sanctions as well.
No matter what they tell you, you are not legally obliged to give them access to your UJM account and they can't sanction you for it.
I didn't give them access to mine but they do like to try and make you give them access but you don't have to.
Anyone who has been sanctioned for not applying for a job on universaljobmatch
should check if the job(s) in question were real.
I wonder if it's worth doing an ITcourse in the things lots of recruiters are asking for. They can cost £400 - £2,000 upwards. Definately looking towards the cheaper end of the scale. I'd prefer a college based tutored course, as doing an online course you have to be highly self disciplined and self motivated, which isnt really my strong point, allthough i can do it occassionally.
Fucks sake, this is embarrasing. It seems you have to apply for a large number of jobs and have many irons in the fire at the same time, it is no use applying for one job at at time, and then waiting on that, because the odds are low of furthering your application for every job. The problem is that im completely muddled up now as to which job is which as they dont list the full details in the advert. I have an open day on Tuesday, and if that goes acceptably well there will be an interview on Wednesday. A alos have another interview for another company on Thursday. I also had a technical test on Monday, I dont know if any of the responses have been about that position. Also received another email for a phone interview today. There must be some better way of getting all these applications organised, im worried that i may be coming across as disorganised, but it is hard to keep track of around 30 applications if you blitz them all of in one afternoon. I think this is the only way to do it, as the reponse rate seems to be about 5 follow up events occuring for each 30-50 applications. About a 10-15% success rate in getting over the first hurdle.
its shit because i wastd almost an hour there and now gotta wait WEEKS for a response on whether my form was 'accepted' or not.UJM is a complete waste of time and money, the idea is that you provide proof of the jobs you've applied for rather than just inventing a list of ten jobs you have applied for. Not that i ever invented jobs ive applied for ofcourse, though i might have had to twiddle the dates as they dont like you appplying for loads of jobs all at once, which is my usual method, as they reckon that just looks like you are trying to comply with the JSA requirements rather than trying to get a job per-se. They were just being difficult and awkward on purpose i reckon.
