Jimmy Savile (aka: paedo speculation megathread)

I don't think being married with kids stops him from being a classic paedophile. How do you work that one out?

But no. Not John Peel. Please.

I can't see how Peel could have been a phiddler, but agree SHM, marriage and kids can be a perfect smokescreen for a deviant.

I mean, Jonathon King, Jimmy Saville, that other one, they were all fucking creepy, even when they were famous...

talking about ruining things.. everyone knows the mamas and the papas california dreaming etc right? great song

the tall dude in the group with the beard/hat.. seems like a nice guy right?

banging out his own daughter.. for years

Cheers, now I wont be able to think of the tall bloke in the hat in Fleetwood Mac in the same way

I understand about the married with kids thing, as I know abuse seems to be most common within the family unit etc,

But if Peel was that level of paedo, surely the family stuff would of come to light by now? so I was guessing and setting that aside as being a no .. and saying he wasn't a King or Savile etc either

He could've been a paedo completely undetected by his family I supposed, and not even remotely like Savile either, I guess .. but really hope not.

From what Crackhead wrote, I'm guessing he's gonna mention something about Jailbait type age or something.

So if all these people know everything, why not name these missing 3rd celebrities? or missing people

Dont want to name them till they write books? or legal issues?

fleetwood mac, almost a parody of themselves. but they made some excellent music in their early years.. in the days peter green still had most of his marbles and was playing incredible guitar on his '69 sunburst les paul with reversed pickups.. i believe it was 69 or 68? - the rarer year

he sold it for a pittance when he was on his arse, recently resold for around half million i believe

Some insanely good music mate

"Diane"
"Sara"
"Tusk"

The deleted scene from the end of boogie nights was a classic , and the scene only had its power according to Paul Thomas Anderson because of the F/mac soundtrack...

He was married to a 15 year old. That's sketchy enough in my eyes. But I'll track down whatever it was I was reading last night about t. Hardly a credible source as far as I can remember though, so I'd take the rest with a pinch of salt. But he was married to a child.

& yes from what I can remember it was jail-bait. & it was 13 year olds etc turning up at his dressing room offering to suck his dick, he was letting them, he wasn't grooming 6 year olds. So technically not a peado. Still not in any way OK though.

I'll find it the now, 2 minutes.

Fleetwood Mac? Christine Perfect was at the noncing as well, huh? Probably the coke was to blame.

After nearly starting an urban myth with Brucie, we've now dead John Peel. Where did this 'news' come from?

That's pretty much exactly what I thought you were gonna say.

I'll hazzard a guess that most men in his position and similar have been faced with the same thing. I'd hazzard a guess that many would have accepted. Apply the same to every cock rock band or any male band with a strong army of females as a fanbase

Back in the 70's and 80's I'm not sure men were in the habit of asking for ID from girls who approached them and looked of age.

It was a rare rock concert at one time that didn't have half a dozen underage girls giving head in the dressing rooms. Rare, too, to hear from, or of 'victims'.

So what is to stop them naming other people who were in on it

They could name them tommorow couldnt they?

Unless they wanted to make money from it from a forthcoming book

If the message is so important and so worthy of letting other people avoid undergoing the same fate
well why not name those pedo monsters now? and save countless other kids
today

Oh silly me , they wont make money till the book deals are in

call me a cynic eh

I think people that are so concerned about paedophiles have psychological problems of their own.

The Guardian. 1999.

Peel told the Guardian in 1975. "Girls," he said to the Sunday Correspondent in 1989, "used to queue up outside oral sex they were particularly keen on, I remember one of my regular customers, as it were, turned out to be 13, though she looked older."

This was the Sixties. Fleeing America after the authorities quite rightly objected to him having sex with young teenage girls, Peel was joined by his wife, Shirley, a Texan girl, who was 15 when he married her.

well into the Seventies, Peel was drooling on about "schoolgirls", in print and on air, where his Schoolgirl Of The Year competition was quietly laid to rest during punk's tenure.

Daily Mail, few days ago.

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...stions-John-Peel-So-starts-WERE-involved.html

When he was older, he recalled some of the ‘perks’ of the job in several newspaper interviews in the Seventies and Eighties.

Girls, some as young as 13, he said, used to queue up outside his studio to offer him sexual favours. ‘Well, of course, I didn’t ask for ID,’ he said.

‘All they wanted me to do was to abuse them sexually which, of course I was only too happy to do.

‘It was the glamour of the job . . . but frustratingly, American girls of that period — as they do now, actually — had this strange notion of virginity as a tangible thing which you surrendered to your husband on your wedding night.

‘So they would do anything but s*** you. They’d give you a b*** *** before they’d s*** you.’

Alan Lewis, a one-time editor of Sounds, says Peel’s regular references to schoolgirls were ‘half joking, half serious’. But he admits: ‘We really did go quite far on occasion.’

Hardly conclusive proof, nowhere near it, but I'm just letting you know what I've read. I reckon he was at it.

So that's OK? The "but everyone else was doing it" excuse? Come on.

If those are his words PT, you've convinced me. Just about to start his biography. G/f has read it and says she remembers being a bit disturbed, uncomfortable and bored with the way he referenced young girls.

And I'm afraid "it was the zeitgeist" is not an excuse.

I'd like an expose of the sex lives of Daily Mail journalists. I think that would make entertaining reading.
