Jewelry Box Dancer
You think you are beautiful
And that your dancing is graceful
But you don’t know what you're missing
Outside of your box
Only when the lid is open do you stand upright
And only then do you dance around
Once the lid is closed
You hide in the darkness
You can dance all you want
But you'll never make it off your spring
Until you dance for yourself
When you are surrounded by darkness
And no one is watching
Only then will your spring break
And you may dance freely
Out of your box you will come
And no longer are you the show
But the world yours.
