How was Jesus' prophecies were spot on? Why were the earliest texts we have written decades after Jesus' death? How did Christianity spread so fast? Who was the real Jesus? Why is the headquarters for the largest group of Christians situated in Rome?

Documentary about how the life of Jesus is nothing more than a falsified version of a Roman campaign of conquering the Jews.

After watching the documentary (it's worth it) what do you all think? Conspiracy theory bullshit? Right on the money? Enough for you to question your faith? The work of the devil?

Rick, we recently closed a thread asking whether or not the Bible was true. This is of a similar vein... although, I will keep it open in case someone wants to try to refute the idea that Christianity was an invention of the Roman government to induce peaceful worship in its citizens.

Most Christians will agree the bible isn't factually true..

But I'm talking about a lot of evidence suggesting that Jesus was a fictional character.. That Christianity is nothing more than a tool created by some very clever Roman dudes and a Jewish sidekick to control masses of people..

To be more honest I'm more interested in what peoples views are on the documentary and what it has to say.. I mean.. If true this is HUGE.

The Roman empire never crumbled.. it simply became the Catholic Church.

Although much of the Jesus myth is adapted from earlier sources, it doesn't mean he never existed and said some cool things.

I'm actually on an anti-(organised) religion crusade. I'd start a thread on scientology but I'm pretty sure we're all in agreement that they're a bunch of horrible cunts..
