1. I know we're not supposed to talk about it but i got a question and this is where i find the answers. I've driven trippin, shroomin, rollin, blown as hell (alot), and drunk (alot). Tonight i'm taking my first Oxycontin and we'll be movin around alot, in your opinion based on personal experience should i be all right to drive or is it a highly incapacitating high?
2. Why the hell can't we talk about Oxycontin? (I haven't been here in awhile.)
 
You're going to get flamed for admitting you have drivin under the influence of those things, but before that happens, I'll try to answer your question. I would suggest that the first time you try it, you stay put until it starts to wear off. You know what I mean, could you imagine driving the first time you rolled and you started peaking like hell? Everything effects everybody differently so just give it a time or 2 before you drive. I drive on the stuff whenever I need to but I know exactly what my limit is on OC and I don't get behind the wheel if I've gone over that limit.
 
I am happy to answer these questions...
First, I do not advise you drive under the influance until you're fimilar with the drugs effects - it can slow your thought process, and like alcohol, it can impair your abilities and judgement - also like alcohol, you won't realize you're imparied... so NO, I do NOT ADVISE you take your first OC while driving ...
Second, why we don't allow OC posts - it's become the hottest drug and to many kids hear the name and want to jump on the bandwagon, we don't want a flood of posts from these kids as it's only going to hurt the current situation...

i'm not jumping on the bandwagon...i'll stick with my weed and maybe one day try some lsd. anyway i heard oxycontin was strong as hell and i don't really wanna take it.
 
I wrecked and totalled out 2 cars on two different occasions on oxy's.. I really think that drug is one of the most evil ones people have been recreationally using lately. I would recommend not doing it because you will do it again and again and again.. I would compare it to H. ANyway just my .02.
 
man, i'm sorry but, driving under the influence of oxycontin is not a big thing. sure, you may have just railed a 40, or 80, or whatever, but you can still operate just fine, your just high as fuck. the only thing you need to worry about is nodding out on the road, this makes driving on OC and other opiates dangerous, and why i tend not to and advise others against it as well

i do it all the time. the only thing i have to worry about is dazing off because i feel too good. thank god for speed control. other than that, i drive real well...
 
Look, some people CAN and come people CAN'T ... I drive my best when I am high, but I would CERTINLY not advise ANYONE who is unsure of themselves to try it...
Rail an 80mg pill and drive? Ha! Rail an 80mg pill and stand up!

Damn, PhreeX, I know that I can't have the opiate tolerance that you do, but I rail 80 mg's and drive no prob. There's just a short time that lasts about 15 minutes where there is a peak that can leave your pretty dreamy.
I think I need to quit using opiates for a while and just let the tolerance level settle.

To echo the good advice above: become familiar with the drug before making a decision about driving. That being said, I've never had any problems driving on the old ox'. Of course, I wouldn't try driving when I went all out and started nodding off...
Phreex, are you saying that you couldn't easily rail an 80? There's no way in hell I could now, as I haven't done any opiates in quite some time...but back in my..err...high usage days, I could (and did) easily blow 80s.
 
greenhaxe...i find it very difficult to believe that you rail 80mg's of oxy and are able to get up off the couch (besides to puke). that is the equivelant of 16 percocets, up the nose! i need like 25-40 mg and i am far gone.
i think someone is yanking your chain. either that or you are just naturally opiate tolerant, in which case it sucks to be you.

day_for_night, I don't think that I'm any more or less tolerant than the normal person. I have built up a bit of a tolerance on my own, though.
By no means am I trying to shoot a hole through your post, but I'm on Oxycontin right now. I've already done 160 mg's tonight in about a 2 and a half hour period. I am able to get 40 mg tabs whenever I want and I usually rail 40 mg at first, and then do another pill every half hour until I've had enough. A large amount of these things really messes up my sleep, so I just railed 3 mg of Xanax and I'll be sleeping like a baby in about 20 minutes!!
I can still carry on a conversation with my parents (I am an adult, not a teenager) after 3 or 4 of the pills and they'd never know (except for the tiny puils). And I have always had parents that were very against that kind of stuff and on top of what's going on. On the other hand, I am having to type very slowly :-) right now!
I didn't say all this to brag, believe me, I'm just sharing my expereinces and I'm in a pretty good fucking mood right now. You know what I mean!!!!!!
 
Greenhaze's claims are very possible, as I have been there. Sure, if you're paying $100/pill, the thought of reaching that kind of tollerance might seem impossible....BUT, when you have access to hundreds of pills it becomes...well....inevitable.
Greenhaze.....when I reached the point you're at i decided that I MIGHT want to cut down, & restricted my use to weekends only. You may want to consider this too...
 
luckE_Z, you are right. After reading that post above that I wrote last night, I realized that I should cut back. ha ha I guess doing 4 or 5 pills every other night can catch up to you... Actually, sometimes in the last month, I have gone 3 days without doing them to try to let the tolerance go down, but to no avail. I guess that steady supply that I thought was so great isn't any more. I am definately going to wait a month or so before using that stuff again. There was a point where 20 mg would give me a great buzz.
I'm glad that we, as bluelighters, have lots of choices of things to abuse. :-)

i drive fine while on OXY...then again i only do 20 mg TOPS when taking it..
i take OXY every weekend, and my tolerance is not really building much..thats a great thing, as the LAST thing i want is to get to the point where i have to take 80 mg just to feel anything!!!that would suck,cuz the shit is expensive...80 mg would knock me on my ass...
 
oh yeah, i pretty much have a shitload of OXY available to me, and i STOCKED up last time...i picked up 400 (20 mg) tabs, and i was thinking this will be great, cuz that would last me damn near a year(??), but now after taking them ever weekend, i come to rrealize how HARD it is to STAY away from them come MONDAY or TUESDAY when im feeling kinda TIRED and LAZY...realizing there are a few hundred OXY's upstairs and NOT taking them takes a good chunk of WILLPOWER...
