Bupe IVing subs - whats the big deal

So.. I'm a long-term IV heroin user. I have a scrip for suboxone films. I haven't been able to pick up for the last couple days. I took a full 8mg strip as directed this morning, around 13 hours ago. I happened upon a post with a method for IVing the films, which I wasn't aware you could do. I, being a curiously self-destructive junkie, followed the instructions with about 5mg and.. What the hell? I might as well have just put that shit under my tongue. Is this because I am already maxed out on the ceiling effect of the drug from the dose I took this morning? Is that not enough of a dose for someone with the tolerance that I have? Did I mix it wrong? Is it because I shot some crystal earlier and I just don't feel the bupe through the tweak? What the FUCK!??!!?
 
INjecting suboxone/buprenorphine is incredibly underwhelming when you're used to shooting drugs Like heroin, cocaine or crystal methamphetamine.

Also, you are definately maxed out on the ceiling. The only way to make buprenorphine worthwhile in terms of recreational effects is to either taper down on it to a really low dose, or to go a couple days without any opiates at all. either way, its one of those drugs where if you don't get anything out of 4mg, taking any more isn't going to get you one bit higher.

Also, if you're going to inject Subooxone, you're going to want to use a micron filter to avoid getting the nasty binders and junk in your solution (same goes for any other pharmaceutical not meant for IV injection). I'll let this stay open a while longer, them I'm going to merge it into the Megathread as this topic has been talked of multiple times.

What exactly are you trying to feel? High? If so, with an opiate tolerance... bupe is just not going to do it. That's not how the drug works. By the way, it should also be noted that 5mg's IV'ed is a lot of bupe with the 100% BA of IV. It's actually more euphoric in small doses. But like I said.. if you've been a long term IV dope user... you are not going to get high from bupe.
 
Well, fuck. I guess I got the information that I came for, just not exactly what I wanted to hear. Son of a bitch. As for what effect I am going for, well.. I stick myself with hollow needles and mainline shit that looks like someone scraped it off a blacktop parking lot in mid-summer and wrapped it in cellophane. I am trying to gets fucked up son! Its not fucking working. Son of a bitch.

Haha. Well sorry to be the bearer of bad news, brother. And from your very detailed description I'm assuming you're out on the west coast doing tar?
